Keira Knightley married James Righton today in a small village in Provence, People reports. A witness to the town hall ceremony tells the magazine that it was performed by the village mayor. Knightley, 28, wore a strapless tulle dress and Chanel jacket, with her hair down and adorned with daisies.
The couple got engaged last May. Righton’s band, the Klaxons, are expected to perform at an intimate garden luncheon, reportedly for 30-50 guests.
Former Little House on the Prairie star Melissa Gilbert wed The West Wing and Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip actor Timothy Busfield in a private ceremony at San Ysidro Ranch in Santa Barbara, Calif., yesterday, Gilbert’s rep confirmed to People.
Gilbert, a former president of the Screen Actors Guild who competed on season 14 of Dancing with the Stars (she came in fifth), and Busfield, who won an Emmy for his work on thirtysomething, announced their engagement earlier this year.
Both have been married twice before – she to actors Bo Brinkman and Bruce Boxleitner, he to Jenny Merwin and actress Radha Delamarter. Gilbert has two children and Busfield has three.

Jesse James is, once again, a married man. People reports that James and fiancée, drag racer Alexis DeJoria, tied the knot on Sunday at DeJoria’s father’s home in Malibu. James’ youngest daughter, Sunny, 9, and DeJoria’s daughter Bella, 10, acted as flower girls during the ceremony.
James and DeJoria currently live in Austin, Texas, where he owns a West Coast Choppers motorcycle shop, and where she races the Patron Nitro Funny car.
This marks James’ fourth marriage. He was most recently engaged to tattoo artist Kat Von D in 2011 after divorcing Sandra Bullock in June 2010.

Elle Macpherson is engaged to boyfriend Jeffrey Soffer, a Miami-based real estate developer, reported People.
The couple had dated for two years before breaking up in March of 2012, but it appears that they have rekindled the flame. No wedding date has been announced for the mom of two and her billionaire beau.

Christina Applegate married her boyfriend, rock musician Martyn LeNoble, on Saturday, according to People.
The magazine reports that the private ceremony was held in their home, the pair was “surrounded by family,” and that Applegate wore a dress designed by Maria Lucia Hohan.
The personal news comes in the wake of the actress’ busy professional year, which saw her recently depart her NBC sitcom Up All Night following the network’s move to creatively re-design the series. She’s set to return to star in this year’s Anchorman sequel, opposite Will Ferrell.
Applegate and Noble have been together since 2008 and have a two-year-old daughter, Sadie Grace. It is the second marriage for both.

George Lucas and longtime girlfriend Mellody Hobson are engaged, reports The Hollywood Reporter. Hobson, 43, serves as the chairman of DreamWorks Animation, as well as running her own investment firm and contributing to ABC’s Good Morning America. It’s her first marriage, and the second for Lucas, 68.
Last year, Lucas announced his retirement and sold his company to Disney for $4.05 billion.
Rolling Stones strummer Ronnie Wood married theater producer Sally Humphreys in London on Dec. 21, according to the UK’s Sun, which broke the news along with photos of the bride, 34, and groom, 65, in wedding garb. (A rep for Wood has not returned requests for comment.)
Rock legend Rod Stewart served as best man for the ceremony with Paul McCartney in attendance, while bandmates Mick Jagger and Keith Richards were reportedly not present. Wood, who previously played with Faces and The Birds, has been performing and recording with the Stones since 1975 and recently wrapped the group’s “50 & Counting: The Rolling Stones Live” tour.
Good Morning America weather anchor Sam Champion married longtime partner Rubem Robierb on Friday afternoon, People reports. The couple met three years ago and were engaged in October. The GMA team sent well wishes on the air to the couple Friday morning and Robin Roberts, Lara Spencer, and Josh Elliot attended the small ceremony. “This is the legal moment that we wanted to celebrate with friends and family and loved ones,” Champion said, noting that there will be a larger wedding party to follow. Champion’s wedding is among the highest-profile same-sex unions to take place in New York since the state legalized same-sex marriage in July 2011.
