Olivia Munn and Mad Men‘s Christina Hendricks are the latest female stars to deal with alleged naked photo leaks. Both actresses deny the shots, which hit the Internet over the weekend, are of them.
Munn’s rep tells EW Munn’s phone was not hacked. That echoes Munn’s only statement on the matter, which she posted to Twitter Sunday night: “If you ever hacked my phone, these are the pictures you’d find: http://pic.twitter.com/Y.” The link leads to photos of a large baby and a cat reading.
Hendricks’ phone was hacked, her rep confirms. But while some of the leaked photos of her wearing lingerie are real, the topless shot is most definitely not, the rep claims. “Christina’s phone was in fact hacked and photos were stolen. The proper authorities have been contacted in hopes of rectifying this unfortunate situation. The topless image is fake and not an image of Christina,” the rep says in a statement. READ FULL STORY
Character actor Daniel von Bargen, perhaps best known for his work on television for his turns as Commandant Spangler on Malcolm in the Middle and Kruger on Seinfeld, has been hospitalized after a failed suicide attempt. ABC News reports that von Bargen, who also appeared in supporting roles in films like The Silence of the Lambs and O Brother, Where Art Thou?, attempted to shoot himself in the head with a Colt .38 pistol on Monday.
The 61-year old star, who resides in Montgomery, Ohio, called 911 after the attempt. “I shot myself in the head and… I need help,” he told dispatchers. ABC News also notes that “von Bargen is a diabetic and was supposed to have two of his toes amputated that day.” In the phone call to 911, von Bargen can be heard saying, “I was supposed to go to the hospital today, didn’t want to.” Montgomery Police Sgt. Greg Vondenbenken told ABC News when police arrived at von Bargen’s home five minutes after the call was placed, he was found “seriously injured.” The actor is at Bethesda North Hospital, where his condition is reportedly improving.
On Valentine’s Day, the mother of Ramblin’ Rose captain Elliott Neese’s two children was granted a temporary restraining order against Neese after filing court papers accusing him of harassing her with 15 texts and 38 phone calls in a one-hour period. According to Valerie Gunderson’s petition, Neese showed up at her home saying he wanted to hug their two children, ages 3 and 6, goodnight. Later that night, she claims, he called her mother and told her he was going to take their daughter to Mexico, where he has dual citizenship. Neese is currently at sea fishing for opilio crab and is unavailable for comment. On Feb. 15, on his way to Dutch Harbor, Alaska, Neese tweeted that he loved Gunderson and their children and that he couldn’t wait to get home again to see them. READ FULL STORY
It may not be as high an honor as the “hottest woman of all time” nod she received from Men’s Health last year, but Jennifer Aniston will be granted her very own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame next week. The former Friends star, whose new film Wanderlust opens next weekend, will receive her star on Wednesday, Feb. 22. The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce maintains the Walk of Fame, and the price of sponsoring a new star is $30,000.
For her role on Friends as Rachel Green, Aniston received five Emmy nominations, two SAG Awards, and two Golden Globe nominations. She has since starred in numerous films, including Rumor Has It, The Good Girl, and The Break Up. Fun fact: Aniston’s godfather, actor Telly Savalas, received his Walk of Fame star in 1983.
