WWE star The Ultimate Warrior dead at 54

Days after his induction into the WWE Hall of Fame, pro wrestler The Ultimate Warrior has died at the age of 54.

“WWE is shocked and deeply saddened to learn of the passing of one of the most iconic WWE Superstars ever, The Ultimate Warrior,” the company confirmed in a statement. A cause of death has not been released.

Warrior’s legend within the wrestling community was cemented on Saturday, when the WWE honored him with a place in its Hall of Fame. After an 18-year break from the organization, Warrior returned to the fold at the ceremony in New Orleans, where fans and colleagues celebrated his long career.

He began wrestling with WWE in 1987, and became one of its most popular stars thanks to his seemingly endless energy, which included wildly shaking the ropes to psych himself up. Warrior was named WWE Champion at WrestleMania VI, after defeating Hulk Hogan. READ FULL STORY

'Hogan knows best' star Brooke Hogan engaged

Brooke Hogan, the twenty-five-year-old daughter of legendary wrestler Hulk Hogan, is engaged to Dallas Cowboys player Phil Costa, People reports.

Costa proposed to Hogan in Vegas over the weekend. Hogan posted to her Instagram:  “Happiest moment of my LIFE. I am marrying my best friend. I wouldn’t choose anyone else. I am so lucky and so grateful.”

Hogan starred in Hogan Knows Best on VH1 from 2005 to 2007 before appearing in her own spin-off Brooke Knows Best for two seasons.

Hulk Hogan sues over sex tape

Hulk Hogan has filed a lawsuit over a a sex tape, filmed six years ago, featuring himself and DJ Bubba the Love Sponge’s (Todd Alan Clem) wife, Heather Clem, EW has confirmed.

In the lawsuit, Hogan claims he was taped without his knowledge, and that Bubba and his wife conspired to sell the tape. Hogan is also suing Gawker Media, a gossip website, for 100 million dollars for posting excerpts of the video, according to Fox News.

“Mr. Hogan had a reasonable expectation of his privacy, just as all Americans have a reasonable expectation of their privacy in their bedrooms,” attorney Charles Harder said, according to Fox.

E! News reports that on his radio show this morning, Bubba had a different version of events, claiming that Hogan was aware he was being taped.

A call to Hogan’s rep was not returned.
