The 31-year-old actor popped the question while vacationing with Rabara in Hawaii last October, People reports.

The British Columbia Coroners Service said Wednesday investigators found a spoon with drug residue and a used hypodermic needle in the hotel room where Glee actor Cory Monteith was found dead in July.
The coroner’s final report issued Wednesday, confirmed initial findings that Monteith died from using intravenous heroin combined with alcohol.
The 31-year-old Canadian-born actor was found dead in a Vancouver hotel room July 13.
Monteith had checked into the hotel on July 6 and when he didn’t check out as expected on July 13, hotel staff entered his room and found him unresponsive on the floor. Two empty bottles of champagne were also found in the room.
The investigation said Monteith had a history of illicit drug use with intermittent periods of rehabilitation and of abstinence from drugs. It said when people who have refrained from using opioids such as heroin for a while, their tolerance for the drug decreases.

Reps of actress Lea Michele have released a statement regarding the sudden, tragic death of the actress’s boyfriend Cory Monteith:
“Lea is deeply grateful for all the love and support she’s received from family, friends, and fans. Since Cory’s passing, Lea has been grieving alongside his family and making appropriate arrangements with them. They are supporting each other as they endure this profound loss together. We continue to ask the media to respect the privacy of Lea and Cory’s family.”
Monteith and Michele met on the set of Glee in 2008 After their characters dated for several seasons, they began their own off-screen romance, and Michele maintained her support for Monteith when he checked into rehab for substance abuse this past spring.
Glee star Cory Monteith died of a “mixed drug toxicity, involving heroin and alcohol,” according to an autopsy report conducted by the British Columbia coroner’s office.
“There is no evidence to suggest Mr. Monteith’s death was anything other than a most tragic accident,” the coroner’s office said in a statement Tuesday.
Monteith died in Vancouver Saturday at age 31. In April, Monteith checked himself into a rehab facility for substance addiction. After finishing a 30-day stint, he made his first post-rehab appearance at the Chrysalis Butterfly Ball charity event with girlfriend and Glee co-star Lea Michele last month.
With no obvious cause of death for Glee star Cory Monteith, the British Columbia Coroners Service says it will do further testing to determine how the 31-year-old died.
The autopsy was taking place Monday, but the coroners’ service says it could take several days before toxicology test results are in.
Vancouver police have ruled out foul play.
Sgt. Randy Fincham says there’s nothing to indicate Monteith’s death was due to illicit drug use.
Police say that when Monteith’s body was found Saturday in a Vancouver hotel, he had been dead for several hours.
Vancouver police have confirmed that Glee actor Cory Monteith was found dead at the Fairmont Pacific Rim Hotel shortly after noon on Saturday. He was 31 years old. Police say the cause of death was not apparent upon initial examination, though there did not appear to be any foul play.
“At this point, we do not have a great deal of information as to cause of death except to reiterate…that there are no indications of foul play,” a Vancouver police spokesperson said during a press conference late Saturday night. Monteith’s family was notified Saturday night before the conference.
Police did not have information about whether Montieth was in Vancouver with any Glee castmates but confirmed they have talked to the people he was out with Friday night. The actor — who was born in Calgary, Alberta, and raised in Victoria, British Columbia — checked into the Fairmont on July 6 and was expected to check out Saturday. He reportedly returned to his room alone early Saturday morning, but when he didn’t check out as planned, hotel staff discovered his body.
An autopsy is scheduled for Monday. READ FULL STORY
