EW has confirmed that 80-year-old Singin’ in the Rain star Debbie Reynolds was hospitalized this weekend after experiencing a bad reaction to her medication. “Ms. Reynolds has had an adverse reaction to some medicine and hopefully will be released from the hospital today,” her manager said.
Though other outlets have reported that the Academy Award nominee is canceling all appearances and concert engagements for the next three months, her manager indicated that such a break is not set in stone: “We are taking a wait and see position regarding future personal appearances and will abide by the doctor’s advice,” he told EW.
Reynolds most recently appeared onscreen opposite Katherine Heigl in One for the Money.
