Supernatural actor Jensen Ackles is going to be a father.
According to People, who first reported the news, the actor and wife Danneel Harris are expecting a baby later this year.
This will be the couple’s first child. They have been married since 2010.

Earlier in 2012, Kim Kardashian, 32, and rapper Kanye West, 35, went public with their romance, and they’re ending the year with the announcement that Kardashian is pregnant.
During a concert at Atlantic City’s Revel Resort on Sunday night, West paused in the middle of a song to make the reveal. “Can we make some noise for my baby mom right quick?” he said.
Kardashian later confirmed the pregnancy. According to E!, she is about 12 weeks along. That would place the baby’s birth date some time in June 2013.
This will be the first child for both West and Kardashian, both of whom have had very public personal lives throughout their professional careers. West had a long relationship with model Amber Rose from 2008 until 2010 (she is now pregnant with Wiz Khalifa’s first child). Meanwhile, Kardashian is still technically married to Brooklyn Nets forward Kris Humphries, as the divorce dissolving their 72-day marriage has yet to be finalized.
Kardashian had been planning on having children—a story line during last season’s run of Keeping Up With the Kardashians involved her looking into freezing some of her eggs.
This will be the second child to enter into the inner circle of music’s most powerful family, as frequent West collaborators Jay-Z and Beyoncé celebrated the birth of their first child earlier in 2012. West, Kardashian, Jay, and Bey have been spotted together numerous times over the past few months.

There’s a new addition coming to Bravo’s Housewives family: Real Housewives of Atlanta star Phaedra Parks and her husband, Apollo Nida, are expecting their second child, according to People. Parks, an entertainment lawyer, married personal trainer Nida in 2009; a year later, the couple welcomed son Ayden. The couple has also collaborated on a fitness DVD called Phine Body. Real Housewives of Atlanta‘s fifth season is currently airing on Bravo.
It’s good to be a King: Nathan Followill and his wife, singer/songwriter Jessie Baylin, welcomed daughter Violet Marlowe Followill on Wednesday in Nashville, People reports. She is the couple’s first child. Followill — the drummer for Kings of Leon — and Bayin were married in November 2009.
Ryan Murphy — creator of Glee, American Horror Story, and The New Normal — welcomed a son on Christmas Eve morning. The first-time father and his husband David Miller named the baby Logan Phineas Miller Murphy and sent a photo of the little one peeking out of a stocking to family and friends, according to E!
Jessica Simpson announced on Twitter today that she and fiance, former NFL player Eric Johnson, are expecting their second child. The tweet read: “Merry Christmas from my family to yours!” and included a picture of their daughter, seven-month old Maxwell Drew, in front of the words “Big Sis” written in the sand.

Burn Notice star Jeffrey Donovan and his wife model Michelle welcomed a baby girl, People reports.
“She is a healthy and happy baby girl, and we are incredibly blessed to have her in our lives,” the first-time parents said in a statement that didn’t reveal any other details. The couple wed in August.

Channing Tatum is capping off his all-star year with another big announcement: He’s going to be a dad.
Tatum and his wife, Jenna Dewan-Tatum, are “pleased to announce that they are expecting the birth of their first child next year,” reps for the couple told People. When he was crowned “People’s Sexiest Man Alive” last month, he spoke to the magazine about his desire for children: “I’m ready; I think she’s ready. The first number that pops into my head is three, but I just want one to be healthy and then we’ll see where we go after that.”
The couple married in 2009. Tatum – one of EW’s Entertainers of the Year – recently told EW that he planned to take some time off from acting in 2013.

The Mentalist actress Samaire Armstrong is a new mom.
Armstrong announced the birth in a Facebook status update on Sunday. “Thank you sooo much for all the love!! Will post pictures after a little rest. We’re all doing wonderfully. It was an amazing experience and we couldn’t be more thrilled with our new arrival,” she wrote.
This is the first child, reportedly a boy, for Armstrong, 32, who currently appears on the CBS procedural and is also known for her role on Dirty Sexy Money.
