Katie Couric and Brooks Perlin have ended their five-year relationship, reports People. The couple met in 2006 at a fund-raising event for colon cancer, the disease which claimed the life of Couric’s husband, Jay Monahan, in 1998. According to People‘s sources, Couric’s breakup with the 17-years-younger entrepreneur was amicable but “inevitable.”

Hoping to avoid a protracted legal battle in his divorce from Kim Kardashian, Kris Humphries has filed to annul their 72-day marriage on the ground of fraud, reports People. The magazine’s source claims Kardashian may be behind the move: “She always wanted an annulment but attorneys were against it so she’s happy that both parties agree now.” If Humphries’ petition is carried out, the marriage will be erased from all legal record, as if it had never existed. If the petition does not go through, Humphries has stipulated he would prefer legal separation to divorce at this juncture.

Another day, another split from the Bachelor franchise. Ali Fedotowsky, who starred on season 6 of The Bachelorette, has taken back her rose from Roberto Martinez. People confirms that the duo have parted ways. Said a rep: “Ali Fedotowsky and Roberto Martinez have ended their relationship … As they go through this difficult time, we ask that you respect the couple’s privacy.”
Martinez proposed to Fedotowsky at the end of season 6; the couple had delayed their wedding back in October.

After six years of marriage, Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher will part ways. Reps for the actress have confirmed to EW that Moore has decided to end her marriage with the Two and a Half Men star, weeks after the couple became tabloid fodder following Kutcher’s alleged extramarital affairs.
Said Moore in a statement obtained by EW: “It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that I have decided to end my six-year marriage to Ashton. As a woman, a mother and a wife there are certain values and vows that I hold sacred, and it is in this spirit that I have chosen to move forward with my life. This is a trying time for me and my family, and so I would ask for the same compassion and privacy that you would give to anyone going through a similar situation.”
The couple made headlines when they began dating in 2003 for their 16-year age difference. (Kutcher is 33; Moore is 49.) Since tying the knot, the duo has founded the DNA Foundation, an organization that combats sexual slavery. Both Kutcher and Moore are also very active on Twitter, where they often posted fodder about their marriage and photos of one another. Moore’s Twitter handle is even @mrskutcher.
Kutcher already tweeted about the split: “I will forever cherish the time I spent with Demi. Marriage is one of the most difficult things in the world and unfortunately sometimes they fail. Love and Light, AK.”

After dating for 11 years, Star Trek star Zoe Saldana and fiancé Keith Britton have split, People reports. The couple, who announced they were engaged in 2010, have “amicably separated,” according to a rep. Saldana and Britton, however, will continue to work together on their fashion website, My Fashion Data Base. Said a statement from Saldana’s rep, “Saldana and Britton remain committed business partners as co-founders of fashion resource MyFDB.com.”

It looks like Chelsea Handler might be sharing stories about the single life once again. Handler’s reps have confirmed to EW that the author/comedienne/late-night talkshow host has split from her hotelier boyfriend, Andre Balazs. Handler, who previously dated her former boss, NBC Universal chairman Ted Harbert, and was linked to rapper 50 Cent, told Piers Morgan during an interview back in May that she had “very strong feelings” for Balazs, who she’d reportedly dated for less than a year. The newly-single Handler tweeted, along with a picture, on Tuesday, “Me and my sissies. Always be good to the women in your life. Sissies forever.”

Over the weekend, Kim Kardashian flew to Minnesota, according to People, to visit her husband Kris Humphries, whom she filed for divorce from last week after 72 days of marriage. The People report also cites a source that said the two planned to meet with the pastor who married them as well.
The 31-year-old reality star recently returned from a trip to Australia, where she told the press that the whole ordeal makes her “kind of want to step back a little bit [from the spotlight].”
While Kardashian was en route to Minnesota to visit Humphries, Saturday Night Live was skewering their split — and the media blitz which has followed– in a skit called “Kim’s Fairytale Divorce.” While there’s no word on whether Kim had seen the segment, her family, who were also parodied in the sketch, seemed to get a kick out of it. Khloe Kardashian tweeted, “Ha! I just saw the SNL skit they did and I could not stop laughing…. LOL”, to which Kourtney Kardashian responded, “I peed! The @KrisJenner was classic.”

Looks like there was no happily ever after for this “fairytale.” After just 72 days of marriage, Kim Kardashian has filed for divorce from Kris Humphries, according to court papers received by EW. (Ryan Seacrest, who serves as executive producer on Keeping Up with the Kardashians, confirmed the news via his Twitter feed earlier today: “Yes @kimkardashian is filing for divorce this morning. I touched base with her, getting a statement in just a few mins.”) The papers, filed Oct. 31, cite irreconcilable differences as to the reason for the split.
Kardashian and Humphries, who were married Aug. 20, aired their grandiose wedding on E! earlier this month with a two-day special. Kim’s Fairytale Wedding has continued to air on repeats on the station since. The former couple also recently appeared on Ellen to renew their vows.
UPDATE: E! has released a statement regarding the split: “All of us at E! are surprised and saddened by this news, and we send our support to Kim and Kris at this difficult time. The Kardashians have always been uniquely open with all aspects of their lives from joyous events to intimate moments to heartbreaking transitions. E! will continue to share the fascinating real lives and larger-than-life existence of this close-knit family.”
UPDATE: Kardashian has released a statement, obtained by EW: “After careful consideration, I have decided to end my marriage. I hope everyone understands this was not an easy decision. I had hoped this marriage was forever, but sometimes things don’t work out as planned. We remain friends and wish each other the best.”
Humphries, on the other hand, released the following statement to E!: “I love my wife and am devastated to learn she filed for divorce. I’m committed to this marriage and everything this covenant represents. I’m willing to do whatever it takes to make it work.”

Olivia Wilde has finalized her divorce from Italian prince Tao Ruspoli, reports People. The couple were married for eight years after they eloped when Wilde was still a teenager. The Cowboys & Aliens star did not seek spousal support, and she reached a private property division agreement with Ruspoli.
