Alexa Vega files for divorce

Former Spy Kid Alexa Vega, 23, filed for divorce from Napoleon Dynamite producer Sean Covel, 36, on June 28, People reports. The couple wed in October 2010.

On Thursday, Vega tweeted, “We come to love not by finding a perfect person, but by learning to see an imperfect person perfectly. — Sam Keen”

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes: Divorce settlement is confidential

After Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes reached a settlement in their divorce yesterday, rumors swirled with regards to the specifics of the deal.

Many outlets, including People, reported yesterday that the couple’s daughter, Suri, 6, will live primarily with Holmes in New York with generous visitation by Cruise. People cites an anonymous source saying, “They both love their daughter, and Tom thinks she should be with her mother.” Another anonymous source told People, “Neither one of them wanted this to be hashed out in public.”

However, Katie Holmes’ attorney, Jonathan Wolfe, said to People, “There are numerous inaccuracies in the reports regarding the purported contents of the agreement reached between the parties. The agreement is confidential and its terms will not be disclosed.”

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes reach divorce settlement

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes have reached a settlement in their divorce, her lawyer confirms to People.

“The case has been settled and the agreement has been signed. We are thrilled for Katie and her family and are excited to watch as she embarks on the next chapter of her life,” Holmes’ attorney Jonathan Wolfe said.

Cruise and Holmes also released a joint statement regarding the settlement. “We are committed to working together as parents to accomplish what is in our daughter Suri’s best interests. We want to keep matters affecting our family private and express our respect for each other’s commitment to each of our respective beliefs and support each other’s roles as parents,” reps for Cruise and Holmes told People.

While details were not available, People reports “sources close to both sides say that Cruise, 50, and Holmes, 33, were working on an arrangement in which Suri, 6, lives in New York with her mother and her father is given generous visitation rights.”

Earlier this weekend, it was reported that the two were in settlement talks to avoid divorce court.

Tom and Katie in settlement talks: Report

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes are reportedly in structured settlement talks to avoid divorce court. TMZ says that lawyers for the celebrity duo are negotiating child custody, visitation, child support and property.

Holmes, 33, filed for divorce last week after five years of marriage to Cruise, 49. The couple married in 2006 and have a 6-year-old daughter.

After five years of marriage, Tom Cruise, 49, and Katie Holmes, 33, are getting a divorce, People reports. “This is a personal and private matter for Katie and her family,” Holmes’ attorney Jonathan Wolfe told People. “Katie’s primary concern remains, as it always has been, her daughter’s best interest.”

Cruise’s rep told People, “Kate has filed for divorce and Tom is deeply saddened and is concentrating on his three children. Please allow them their privacy.”

The couple have a daughter, Suri, 6. Cruise has two older children from his relationship with Nicole Kidman. Cruise and Holmes married in 2006.

Johnny Depp, Vanessa Paradis split

EW has confirmed that Johnny Depp and longtime partner Vanessa Paradis have split. Depp’s publicist issued a statement that the pair “have amicably separated” and asked that media and fans “Please respect their privacy and, more importantly, the privacy of their children.”

Depp and Paradis met in 1998. Though they never legally married, they have two children, 13-year-old Lily-Rose and 9-year-old Jack. Reports surfaced that they were on the rocks this past January since they had not been seen publicly together in months.

Courteney Cox files for divorce, wants to drop 'Arquette' last name

The same day David Arquette officially filed papers to end his marriage to Courteney Cox, Cox separately filed papers as well, according to People. Cox’s filing lists the same reason for the split (irreconcilable differences) and requests the same custody agreement as Arquette’s papers. Cox also requested to drop “Arquette” from her last name. The couple married 13 years ago after meeting on the set of 1996′s Scream.

As of press time, Cox’s rep did not respond to EW’s request for comment.

'Wonder Years' star Danica McKellar files for divorce

Danica McKellar has filed for divorce from composer Mike Verta, according to People. The Wonder Years star, 37, married Verta in 2009. The couple has a 21-month-old son, Draco.

McKellar posted the following message on her Twitter last night: “Thank you so much for all your love and support during a tough time!”

Debra Messing files for divorce

Smash star Debra Messing has officially filed for divorce from her husband Daniel Zelman, People reports. The couple announced their separation six months ago. They were married in September 2000. Messing, 43, is seeking joint custody of their eight-year-old son.

It's official: Marc Anthony files for divorce from Jennifer Lopez

Marc Anthony has made his breakup fromJennifer Lopez official by filing for divorce months after the superstar couple announced their separation.

The Latin crooner filed his petition Monday in Los Angeles. He citedirreconcilable differences but did not put additional details of the split, including the date he and Lopez separated, in the filing.

The former couple announced they were ending their marriage in June after seven years. They have twin children together, and Anthony is seeking joint custody.

The pair had been a high-profile couple and maintained a business relationship even after their announcement, appearing in the reality television series “Q’Viva!” and promoting it together.

Anthony’s marriage to Lopez was his second. She had been married twice before when the couple wed in June 2004.

Anthony has delved into acting and producing in recent years, and appeared in the 2006 film “El Cantante” with Lopez.

Lopez has seen her career rebound since joining “American Idol” as a judge. She released an album titled “Love?” last year.
