Oscar winner Marcia Gay Harden has filed for divorce from her husband, Thaddaeus Scheel, People reports.

“For the sake of the couple’s three children, Harden would like to request that the family’s privacy be respected at this time,” Harden’s rep told People in a statement. “No further comments will be made on this matter, and we thank you for your understanding.”

Harden won an Oscar for her supporting actress performance in 2000′s Pollock.

What she wanted, baby, he didn’t have it. Queen of Soul Aretha Franklin has called off her engagment to longtime friend William “Willie” Wilkerson, less than a month after announcing their plans to marry. According to a statement released to People, Franklin and Wilkerson decided to slow things down. ”Regretfully, To Our Friends and Supporters: Will and I have decided we were moving a little too fast, and there were a number of things that had not been thought through thoroughly … There will be no wedding at this time.”

The statement continues, “We will not comment on it any further because of the very personal and sensitive nature of it. We appreciate all of the many well wishes from friends.” Franklin and Wilkerson had intended to marry in the summer.

Another Hollywood power couple down. Heidi Klum and Seal, who have become well-known for very publicly praising their marriage  and sex life since they wed in 2005, are separating, according to a rep for the Project Runway host. Says a statement released by the couple, ”While we have enjoyed seven very loving, loyal and happy years of marriage, after much soul-searching we have decided to separate. We have had the deepest respect for one another throughout our relationship and continue to love each other very much, but we have grown apart. This is an amicable process and protecting the well-being of our children remains our top priority, especially during this time of transition. We thank our family, friends, and fans for their kind words of support. And for our children’s sake, we appreciate you respecting our privacy.”

Klum and Seal have three children: 6-year-old Henry, 5-year-old Johan, and 2-year-old Lou. Klum has a 7-year-old daughter, Leni, from a previous relationship.

Russell Brand and Katy Perry are getting a divorce.

The 36-year-old comedian said Friday: “Sadly, Katy and I are ending our marriage. I’ll always adore her and I know we’ll remain friends.”

Brand and the pop singer married in October 2010.
