Employee who leaked Jay Z and Solange Knowles video fired from Standard Hotel

The Standard Hotel has fired the employee who leaked a surveillance video allegedly showing Solange Knowles fighting with Jay Z in an elevator at the New York City hot spot.

“The Standard has identified the individual responsible for breaching the security policies of the hotel and recording the confidential CCTV video released by TMZ,” the hotel announced in a statement. “The Standard has already terminated the individual and will now be pursuing all available civil and criminal remedies.”

The now-infamous video was purportedly recorded on May 5, when Jay Z attended a Met Gala after-party at the hotel with his wife and sister-in-law. TMZ released the clip — which shows Solange allegedly kicking and throwing fists at Jay Z while a security guard attempts to restrain her and Beyonce looks on — on May 12. READ FULL STORY

Beyonce's father granted cut in child support

A judge approved a substantial cut in the amount of child support that Beyonce Knowles’ father must pay because his income dropped after his superstar daughter fired him as her manager.

A ruling obtained by The Associated Press shows that a Los Angeles Superior Court judge cut the amount Mathew Knowles must pay to actress Alexsandra Wright from $12,000 a month to roughly $2,500 a month. The payments are for a son Knowles fathered with Wright while he was still married to Beyonce’s mother.

Although the singer’s name is not mentioned in Monday’s ruling, it notes that her father’s income has substantially fallen since she fired him in 2011.


Beyonce, videogame company settle lawsuit

Beyoncé has settled a New York City lawsuit that said she didn’t play fair in a deal for a videogame structured around her.

Court records show the case was closed Friday after the Grammy Award-winning singer and Gate Five LLC agreed to drop it.

A lawyer for Gate Five says the terms are confidential. A lawyer for Beyoncé hasn’t returned a call seeking comment.

Beyonce, Donald Trump among celebs targeted by hackers with Russian ties

Beyonce, Kim Kardashian, and Donald Trump — as well as Michelle Obama, Hillary Clinton, and several other celebrities and politicians — were hacked by a group operating under a Russian web address, resulting in the release of numerous pieces of personal and financial information., the hackers’ home page, was taken off-line Tuesday. It featured the header “The Secret Files” and motto, “If you believe that God makes miracles, you have to wonder if Satan has a few up his sleeve.”

The site linked to documents such as Beyonce’s credit report and Social Security number, as well as personal information on Sarah Palin, Mel Gibson, Ashton Kutcher, Britney Spears, and FBI Director Robert Mueller. READ FULL STORY
