Vince Neil pleads guilty to DUI, sentenced to 15 days

Vince Neil formally pleaded guilty today to misdemeanor drunk driving, the Associated Press reports. A judge sentenced the Motley Crue singer to 15 days in jail plus 15 days house arrest. Neil was arrested last June in Las Vegas; if convicted without this plea deal, he could have faced up to six months behind bars.

Sebastian Bach arrested

Sebastian Bach was arrested early this morning in Peterborough, Ontario after a scuffle at a local bar, police say. The Skid Row rocker allegedly turned rowdy shortly after midnight last night when the staff at Riley’s Old Towne Pub asked him to leave. Police say he threw a glass of wine at the pub’s front door, shattering the glass, then bit a staff member. When police arrived, they say they found 1.95 grams of marijuana on Bach. He was charged with assault, mischief, and possession of a controlled substance, and is due back in court later today. Reps for Bach have not responded to EW’s request for comment.

Fiona Shaw joins 'True Blood' cast

Irish actress Fiona Shaw (Harry Potter’s Aunt Petunia) has joined the cast of HBO’s True Blood, Deadline reports. Shaw’s character, Marnie, has been described as an underachieving palm reader who is spiritually possessed by an actual witch. She will be a regular cast member in the show’s fourth season next year.

AT&T, Scripps Networks reach deal

AT&T and Scripps Networks reached a deal on Sunday night, per press releases from both companies. The 2.7 million customers who get cable TV through AT&T are now able once more to watch Scripps channels like HGTV and Food Network. AT&T access to Scripps Networks was cut off on Friday due to difficult negotiations between the two corporations over programming fees.

Suge Knight's lawsuit against Kanye West dismissed

Suge Knight’s lawsuit against Kanye West has been thrown out of court by a judge, the Associated Press reports.

The former rap kingmaker was asking for over $1 million in damages because he was shot in the leg at a 2005 party hosted by West. The judge ruled that there was no evidence West could have prevented the shooting.

The Judds, the O'Neals, and Carson Kressley join Oprah Winfrey Network

OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network has revealed the schedule for its premiere weekend, starting Jan. 1, and announced that Naomi and Wynonna Judd, Ryan and Tatum O’Neal, and Carson Kressley will each star in their own original series. The Judds follows the country-music duo while they prepare for their first concert tour in ten years. In Ryan and Tatum: The O’Neals, the two actors try to patch up their relationship. Carson-Nation will shadow Kressley as he brings his fashion expertise to small towns across America.

The new network will also feature shows hosted by Suze Orman, Dr. Oz, and Dr. Phil (all three together on Ask Oprah’s All-Stars), as well as Cristina Ferrare, Gayle King, Peter Walsh, Dr. Laura Berman, Lisa Ling, and more. Also on the schedule are new episodes of Trading Spaces and The Best of Dr. Phil, drawing on his syndicated talk show.

Lily Allen loses her baby

Lily Allen’s pregancy has ended in tragedy. “It is with great sadness that we have to confirm that Lily Allen and Sam Cooper have lost their baby,” the singer’s rep says in a statement provided to People. “The couple ask that their privacy be respected and that they be left alone at this deeply distressing time. No further comment will be made.”

'Family Guy' star Alex Borstein signs Fox deal

Alex Borstein, best known as the voice of Family Guy‘s Lois Griffin, has signed a major development deal with 20th Century Fox, per the Hollywood Reporter. She will develop, write, and executive produce two new TV projects, including an animated pilot and a live-action comedy pilot. Studio execs told THR that they hope Borstein will create an “off-center, comedian-centered” series like Roseanne or Seinfeld.

Celine Dion enters hospital for birth

CĂ©line Dion has checked in to a Florida hospital in anticipation of giving birth to twin sons, People reports. According to a hospital statement obtained by People, “She has been admitted to prevent the early delivery of her babies, which is the standard of care for any patient with twin pregnancy in this clinical setting.”

Tyra Banks sued by mother of teen who appeared on her show

A woman who says her 15-year-old daughter appeared without permission on an episode of The Tyra Banks Show about “teen sex addicts” is suing the TV host for $3 million, the Associated Press reports. Beverly McClendon is asking a court to stop the episode from airing again, and for millions in damages since it already “was undoubtedly watched by sexual deviants, perverts and pedophiles.” A representative for Banks declined to comment on this story.
