Jack White to release rare White Stripes outtakes

Jack White is set to release outtakes from the White Stripes’ first ever recording session, according to the NME. The tracks are to be made available to subscribers to The Vault, the online service of Jack White’s label Third Man. Subscribers will also receive a Raconteurs live vinyl album and a Dead Weather poster.

David Letterman has been heavily criticized by the National Organization for Women for creating a “toxic work” environment, according to CNN. The criticism comes in the wake of the recent scandal in which an alleged blackmail attempt on the chat show host prompted Letterman to admit that he had conducted affairs with members of his staff. In a statement issued on Tuesday, the women’s group called on CBS “to recognize that Letterman’s behavior creates a toxic environment and to take action immediately to rectify this situation. With just two women on CBS’ board of directors, we’re not holding our breath.”

Sherry Stringfield to appear in con artist movie

ER actress Sherry Stringfield is to star opposite Eric McCormack in a Lifetime film about real-life, German-born, con artist Christian Karl Gerhartsreiter, according to the Hollywood Reporter. The film will be directed by Mikael Salomon whose credits include the recent TV remake of the Andromeda Strain, which also starred McCormack.
