Orange Is the New Black received high honors at the 25th annual GLAAD Media Awards’ New York ceremony on Saturday, earning the title of outstanding comedy series.

Star Laverne Cox, who was recognized by GLAAD at the group’s awards ceremony in Los Angeles last month, was joined by her cast mates in accepting the honor for the Netflix series.

George Takei received the Vito Russo Award, given to an openly gay media professional for promoting equality for the gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender community. You can watch his acceptance speech here:

Concussion and Philomena took home the night’s film awards, and Oprah Winfrey’s interview with openly gay NBA player Jason Collins was also recognized.

The GLAAD Media Awards honor media’s fair, accurate, and inclusive representation of the LGBT community and the issues that affect their lives.
