Amanda Bynes leaves rehab

Amanda Bynes has left a rehabilitation facility after completing her inpatient treatment, People reports. Bynes, 27, will continue recovering at her parents’ home in Los Angeles.

“Amanda and her entire family would like to thank everyone who’s contacted them with good thoughts and wishes for Amanda’s recovery,” said lawyer Tamar Arminak in a statement to People. “Amanda has completed her inpatient rehabilitation and she’s feeling better every day.”

Bynes was hospitalized in July and placed on an involuntary psychiatric hold after allegedly setting fire to a driveway in Thousand Oaks, Calif.

After a turbulent year of erratic behavior, Bynes is reportedly making plans to pursue higher education. “She’s now looking at various colleges with the intention of majoring in fashion design,” according to her lawyer’s statement. “She’s mentioned before she’s interested in creating a clothing line.”

Following a conservatorship hearing in August, Bynes’ mother, Lynn, will have control over her welfare and finances.

“Despite the fact Amanda is no longer in a facility, her outpatient treatment is continuing,” according to the statement. “She’s very happy to reestablish the loving relationship with her family that she once shared.”
