Rebecca Gayheart and Eric Dane welcome new baby girl

People magazine reports that Rebecca Gayheart has given birth to a daughter, Georgia Geraldine. It’s the second child for Grey’s Anatomy actor Eric Dane, 39, and Gayheart, 40, who had daughter Billie Beatrice in March, 2010.

Says Gayheart’s rep: “Rebecca Gayheart and husband Eric Dane welcomed Georgia Geraldine Dane on Dec. 28, just in time for the New Year! Both mom and baby girl are happy and healthy, Billie is thrilled to be a big sister, and dad is getting ready to live in a house full of ladies!”

Russell Brand and Katy Perry end their 14-month-old marriage

Russell Brand and Katy Perry are getting a divorce.

The 36-year-old comedian said Friday: “Sadly, Katy and I are ending our marriage. I’ll always adore her and I know we’ll remain friends.”

Brand and the pop singer married in October 2010.

'Bridesmaids' star Chris O'Dowd engaged

Bridesmaids star Chris O’Dowd will have to find some groomsmen. The actor has proposed to his girlfriend, British TV personality Dawn Porter, reports People. The couple got engaged while on vacation Dec. 26. Tweeted O’Dowd Thursday, “I’m so bored of all this happiness and sex. I’m getting married.”

Porter also tweeted the news: “I guess he liked it, coz he put a ring on it. #engaged.”

Rachel Zoe protege Brad Goreski scores stylist gig

Will stylist Brad Goreski be taking his signature bow ties to the runway? The Rachel Zoe protege and star of his own Bravo series premiering Monday, It’s a Brad, Brad World, announced on Twitter that he’s taking a new role as the Exclusive Brand Stylist at designer Kate Spade.

“I am thrilled to say that I will be working with @katespadeny as their Exclusive Brand Stylist!! I’m so excited!! bit.ly/vrUG20 @wwd,” Goreski tweeted.

Women’s Wear Daily first reported the news. Goreski told WWD “We see so many people carrying the bags and the accessories. It’s my hope to get the ready-to-wear out there and see it more on the streets and see people playing with it and making it their own.”

Rapper C-Murder's conviction, sentence upheld

A Louisiana appeals court has upheld the murder conviction and life sentence for rapper C-Murder.

C-Murder, whose real name is Corey Miller, was convicted of shooting a teenager to death in 2002.

A three-judge panel from the state’s 5th Circuit Court of Appeal on Wednesday rejected Miller’s argument that he didn’t get a fair trial.

In 2009, a jury convicted Miller of second-degree murder for shooting 16-year-old Steve Thomas during a confrontation at a nightclub.

Miller claims the judge who presided over his trial allowed jurors to hear prejudicial and unsubstantiated testimony that he threatened witnesses to the shooting. He also accused prosecutors of systematically eliminating black people from the jury.

But the 5th Circuit rejected those arguments.

One of Miller’s attorneys didn’t immediately return a call seeking comment Thursday.

Basketball great Michael Jordan is engaged

Michael Jordan is engaged to longtime girlfriend Yvette Prieto, a Cuban-American model he’s been dating for three years.

Publicist Estee Portnoy confirmed the news, first reported by WCNC in Charlotte, on Thursday.

The Bobcats owner got engaged over the Christmas weekend. No wedding date has been set.

This will be Jordan’s second marriage. He married Juanita Vanoy in September 1989, and they divorced in 2006. They have two sons, Jeffrey Michael and Marcus James, and a daughter, Jasmine.

Steven Tyler 'Crazy' for girlfriend, possibly engaged

“Walk This Way” down the aisle? Though Steven Tyler has yet to go on the record confirming anything, it appears as though the Aerosmith rocker is engaged to girlfriend Erin Brady. Brady, who spent the holidays vacationing in Hawaii with Tyler, has appeared in photos sporting a diamond ring on her ring finger.

A spokesperson for Loree Rodkin told People that Tyler purchased the ring from the jeweler. “He was working, so I picked stones, built settings, showed him choices, and sent him pictures on his phone,” the spokesperson told People. “He asked for guidance but the choice was his. Having made jewelry for both Erin and Steven made it an effortless process, as I know their taste.”

Tyler and Brady have been together for five years. This would be the American Idol judge’s third marriage — he previously was wed to Teresa Barrick and to Cyrinda Foxe.

'Housewives' star Kim Richards leaves rehab

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kim Richards has left rehab, according to People. The magazine reports the reality star is now in the care of her sister, fellow Real Housewives cast member Kyle Richards, and plans to undergo outpatient therapy. “Everyone is hoping for the best,” a source tells People.

Kim entered rehab in early December for alcohol abuse and “other problems” — this was her second stint in rehab. On this season of Real Housewives, Kim had abstained from drinking in front of cameras, but did reveal she was on several medications for depression and anxiety.

Country wedding: Wynonna Judd to wed Cactus Moser

How sweet it is to be loved by him: Wynonna Judd is engaged to her boyfriend of two years, Cactus Moser, according to People. The country star and Moser, a musician, got engaged on Christmas Eve.

This will be Judd’s third marriage — she was previously wed to D.R. Roach and to Arch Kelly, III. She has two children with Kelly, 17-year-old Elijah and 15-year-old Grace.

Cheeta the chimp's death a hoax?

Evidence and other accounts are contradicting a Florida animal sanctuary’s claim that a chimpanzee that portrayed Cheetah, Tarzan’s sidekick in movies of the early 1930s, has died at 80.

A number of chimpanzees played the sidekick role in the Tarzan movies of the 1930s and ’40s.

But an 80-year-old chimpanzee would be extraordinarily old, perhaps the oldest ever known. According to many experts and Save the Chimps, another Florida sanctuary, chimpanzees in captivity live to between 40 and 60.
