Earlier today, a rep for Lindsay Lohan released a statement claiming the actress had reported to court-appointed duty at the L.A. County morgue 20 minutes late because she got lost. Said rep Steve Honig, “Her lateness was due to a combination of not knowing what entrance to go through and confusion caused by the media waiting for her arrival. Lindsay spoke with the supervisors at the morgue, they showed her how to get in and everything is all cleared up.” (UPDATE: Lohan addressed her tardiness on her Twitter: “I’m sorry for the confusion that I may of caused to those at the Coroner’s office. Won’t happen again, now I know where to go! Thank you for your help.”)

But, according to Assistant Chief Coroner Ed Winter, there may be more than a few flaws in that statement. READ FULL STORY »

Lindsay Lohan will be headed back to court — yet again. During a hearing in Los Angeles Wednesday, Judge Stephanie Sautner ordered the actress’ probation revoked, and ruled that her next hearing would be set for Nov. 2.

Lohan was led away in handcuffs at the end of Wednesday’s hearing (though a bondsman was also in court to bail her out), which delved into whether the actress was following through with her probation, which stems from a 2007 drunk driving charge. She was let go from her community service job at the Downtown Women’s Center after failing to show up for scheduled appointments; Sautner ordered that Lohan now work at the L.A. County morgue, and refused to give Lohan credit for her time with the Red Cross. (Lohan volunteered at the latter organization after she had left the Downtown Women’s Center.)

The Nov. 2 hearing could determine whether or not Lohan returns to jail. She could face up to a year and a half in custody. UPDATE: Lohan’s rep issued the following statement to EW: “Lindsay is hoping this matter will be resolved on November 2 and the Court will reinstate probation and allow her to continue fulfilling her community service.”

At a glitzy unveiling in Hong Kong, Google executive Andy Rubin said Android’s latest “Ice Cream Sandwich” operating system demonstrates innovation “that works on phones and tablets and everything in between.”

Rubin said features like Android Beam and Face Unlock showcased Ice Cream Sandwich’s capabilities. New delay in Conrad Murray case

Filed under: Crime, News and tagged:

Though the involuntary manslaughter trial against Michael Jackson’s doctor Conrad Murray was expected to resume today, the proceedings have been delayed at least one more day, CNN reports. The trial was initially held up due to a death in one of the witness’s families; now, new lab tests are pushing back Murray’s court appearance. According to CNN, the defense is hoping for extra time to study evidence that supposedly proves that Jackson had not ingested a fatal dose of the sedative lorazepam.

Jury deliberations are still scheduled for next week.
