Earlier today, a rep for Lindsay Lohan released a statement claiming the actress had reported to court-appointed duty at the L.A. County morgue 20 minutes late because she got lost. Said rep Steve Honig, “Her lateness was due to a combination of not knowing what entrance to go through and confusion caused by the media waiting for her arrival. Lindsay spoke with the supervisors at the morgue, they showed her how to get in and everything is all cleared up.” (UPDATE: Lohan addressed her tardiness on her Twitter: “I’m sorry for the confusion that I may of caused to those at the Coroner’s office. Won’t happen again, now I know where to go! Thank you for your help.”)
But, according to Assistant Chief Coroner Ed Winter, there may be more than a few flaws in that statement. Winter told reporters outside the morgue that Lohan should have known where she was going. “She’s been here before, and she was given directions, and, as far as we know, she knows how to get here,” Winter said.
Also, according to Winter, everything may not be “cleared up” after all. “We notified the volunteers’ center that she was a no-show, and they, in turn, let the judge know … It will be up to the volunteers’ center and the judge to decide if she, in fact, will be allowed to return.” Lohan’s statement indicated that she would return to the morgue Friday for orientation. The actress’ rep has is not commenting on Winter’s words.

This is forced community service, not let Lindsay waltz in whenever she wants. Girl needs some structure not more people bending to her will. They should throw the book at her (literally).
She was reporting for orientation. So should everyone else who showed up on time for orientation be forced to wait until she chooses to waltz in? Or should the morgue be forced to conduct a special orientation just for her? No. Let her come for the next scheduled orientation session – she blew her chance for this one.

I’m sure Mx Lohan has a cell phone. Basic courtesy says if you are running late to an appointment or a job(even if lost), you should CALL to say that you will be late.

I read on another site that she was 40 minutes late. She was officially declared a no-show after 20 minutes, and then she arrived 20 minutes after that.
