Report: Pia Toscano and Mark Ballas break up

Reality powerhouse couple Pia Toscano (American Idol) and Mark Ballas (Dancing With the Stars) have gone their separate ways, according to E! Online. Sources claim that the pair, who appeared to have started dating back in April (though Toscano, 22, claimed at the time that they were “just friends”), recently put an end to their courtship. Toscano’s rep would not comment on the relationship, but stated, “She’s hard at work on her new album and can’t wait for her fans to hear it. Pia is wrapping up her American Idol tour and her album is expected to be released soon.” Meanwhile, Ballas, 25, will get to mend his heart on the dance floor with his new partner, DWTS contestant Kristin Cavallari. Season 13 begins on Monday, Sept. 19.

Don’t stop believin’ this story. After White House party crasher Tareq Salahi called the authorities Tuesday to inform them that his wife, The Real Housewives of D.C. star Michaele Salahi, had gone missing, authorities revealed that she is okay, “with a good friend” and simply did not want her husband to know where she was. As it turns out, that “good friend” seems to be Journey guitarist Neal Schon. TMZ reports that the band’s rep confirmed that Salahi is with Schon in Memphis, where Journey is scheduled to play a show with Foreigner. “Nobody kidnapped her,” the rep is quoted as saying. TMZ also reports Salahi previously dated Schon, a relationship she called “intimate and passionate.”

Police: Michaele Salahi is fine, 'does not want to be home right now'

Filed under: News, TV and tagged:

Tareq Salahi, husband of former The Real Housewives of D.C. star Michaele Salahi, called the Warren County, Va. Sheriff’s Office Tuesday night to report that his wife was missing. He had spoken to her six hours prior, but she called from an Oregon area code when she was supposed to be home in Virginia. Sheriff Daniel T. McEathron confirmed via release that Deputy Mike Glavis later spoke with Mrs. Salahi, who “seemed calm, was engaged in conversation, and assured the deputy that she had left the residence with a good friend and was where she wanted to be.” Mrs. Salahi also made it clear that she did not want her husband to know where she was, and she did not want to come home.

The Warren County Sheriff’s Office and FBI are working together to make further contact with Mrs. Salahi, and confirm her well being.

Before her reality TV stint, the Salahi’s were best known for attending a White House state dinner without an invitation.

Andy Whitfield, who starred in the first season of Starz’ Spartacus: Blood and Sand, has died of non-Hodgkin Lymphoma in Sydney, Australia. Spartacus was the Wales native’s first big break; most of his previous work was in Australian television.

Whitfield was diagnosed 18 months ago while preparing for the second season of Spartacus. Starz announced in January that Liam McIntyre, another Australian actor, would take over the role.

In a statement, Whitfield’s wife Vashti called her husband a “beautiful young warrior” who died on a “sunny Sydney morning” in her arms.

“No words to express the depth of such a loss. You will be deeply missed, my brother,” said Spartacus creator Steven DeKnight on Twitter.

In statements on Sunday night, Lucy Lawless and Starz paid tribute to Andy Whitfield.
