People magazine reports that Fey and husband, composer Jeffrey Richmond, welcomed daughter Penelope Athena Richmond on Wednesday, August 10. The couple’s first daughter, Alice, was born in 2005.

Besides the fact that it lets me portray Jay Leno and Paul Reiser but has been deleting my Ryan Reynolds posts, I’ve noticed something very strange about the site. Right-wing Conservatives come here and click on stories about people who disagree with them politically and leave nasty messages. It could be a story about how Will I. Am is campaigning for Obama, a story that certainly deserves some political attention, or one about how Tina Fey just gave birth, a story that does not. They’ll both be attacked with equal ferocity by the right. Yet most of Hollywood disagrees with the conservative movement. There is rarely a story on the site that would appeal to these people politically, yet they come here to make political statements. I don’t mean to be rude, but what are you people doing? Why are you here? This is an entertainment website about liberals. There are hundreds of thousands of political websites out there. It just seems like an awful way to get your point across to people who would not be receptive to it at all, unless it’s about potentially ruining a celebrity’s good mood. Either way, you’re a jerk.
