Rowan Atkinson, the actor best known as Mr. Bean, crashed his McLaren F1 supercar in Haddon, England, on Thursday night. Authorities tell the Associated Press alcohol was not a factor in the accident, which Atkinson was able to walk away from with just a minor shoulder injury even though his seven-figure car, one of the world’s fastest, is said to have struck a tree and a lamppost before catching fire. He left the hospital Friday afternoon.

Someone who has enough money to buy a seven-figure car doesn’t want or need your sympathy. Good for him that he can afford it, and the premiums, and I’m glad he wasn’t injured.

If you can afford a million dollar car you don’t need an insurance company – you post a bond. And the article did mention something about a “tree” and a “fire”. Good bet that car don’t work no more.

This is crazy! A friend of mine from high school, just posted a picture yesterday, of his car on the lot. This accident must have happened just shortly after. Wow, I hope he is really ok.
That car must have had excellent safety features for him to just have just walked away. Ryan Dunn crashed into a tree and caught fire and he died.
