Filed under: Crime, News and tagged:

Rick Springfield has pleaded not guilty to his DUI charge, the Associated Press reports. A lawyer for the rocker, who did not attend the arraignment, entered the plea Tuesday in Malibu, Calif. The “Jessie’s Girl” musician was arrested back in May with a blood alcohol content of 0.10 percent, according to police authorities. (Anything over 0.08 percent is considered over the legal limit in California.)

    First!
What’s Rick done lately? Jessie’s Girl was like 3O years ago!

He’s been acting on GH on & off for the last couple of years and did a series Yanick Bison at one point as well. He still tours too & draws quite a crowd.

  • Dawn

“draws quite a crowd”? So do baby animals at the zoo. Face facts he’s the very definiation of a one-hit-wonder.

  • Melaswen

Oh Dawn, if only you had spelt ‘definition’ correctly, then i could of agreed with you 100%.

    • whatevs

Ironic how you can’t see your own inability to correctly write a sentence.

Oh Dawn – Part 2, He actually is more than a one-hit-wonder. He had quite a few hits in the 80′s. Sounds like you are just only familiar with one.

    Now back to the countdown…

  • LOL

One hit is more than you
loser trolls will ever have, and he had success throughout the 80′s, with more than one top ten hit. He’s continued to record, tour and act regularly. Jealous idiots, take note.

  • Rho

@ Dawn-He’s in fact NOT the definition of a one-hit wonder. Don’t Talk to Strangers, Affair of the Heart, I’ve Done Everything, Love Somebody, etc. were all hits so if you include Jessie’s girl that would be at least a 5-hit wonder. Yes, he made a poor choice to drink and drive and he should accept the consequences but that doesn’t't mean

  • Rho

*doesn’t mean his success as an artist should be disregarded or mocked.

Agree. Rick Springfield has been keeping very busy with music and acting through the years. Still making great music. Rick has had his struggles, nothing to be made fun of. I’m still a great fan of his and hope he will be okay.

Yo troll/dating site schiller, don’t copy my post in order to pretend you care. Use a little creativity & make up your own!

Rick just put out a CD a couple of years ago called Venus in Overdrive. It entered the billboard top 40. I’m a big fan so I support Rick and his music all the way, but stay away from DUI’s! He came to Winnipeg and finally got to see him-great concert!

  • lej

Definitely draws quite a crowd – just saw him on the 4th, complete with NEW music as well as the oldie favs. A DUI is terrible and I have nothing good to say about that, but about his talent and continual concert draw, and charting (yes had a #27 not too long ago) and making #13 on New York Times best sellers list with his autobiography- I’m impressed! Hopefully Rick will never be in this position again and thankfully nobody, including him, was hurt.
