A medical examiner’s autopsy released on Thursday revealed that former pro wrestling star Randy “Macho Man” Savage died last month of heart disease, the AP reports. On May 20, the 58-year-old Savage — whose real name was Randall Poffo — lost consciousness and crashed his Jeep into a tree while driving on Route 694 in Pinellas County, Florida; he was pronounced dead at the hospital. The Tampa Bay area medical examiner determined that Savage suffered from an enlarged heart and blocked coronary arteries, and that his injuries from the accident were not significant enough to have caused his death. His wife, Lynn, suffered minor injuries in the crash.

Hmmm drug abuse and steroids I was a fan of his in the 80′strain and I remember when I saw him in Spiderman…wow…steroid city.
Cardiovascular disease also killed Eddie Guerrero. And, similarly, both guys seemed to have had lived a well-maintained lifestyle and had things going very well in their final years. Goes to show you, the past and whatever mistakes therein will catch up to you. R.I.P. Savage.
Loved watching both performers. But if you think neither of the heart conditions that lead to their respective deaths had anything to do with performance enhancing substances associated with muscle gain, you’re mistaken.
That’s what I’m referring to when I say the past caught up to them. Both abused drugs in the 80s and/or 90s. They both managed to get their act together in their final years though. Or it certainly seemed that way.
