'Bachelor' Brad Womack and Emily Maynard split

In March, two-time Bachelor Brad Womack proposed to Emily Maynard, but just three months later, the 25-year-old single mom tells People that their relationship is over. “We’re no longer engaged,” she told the magazine. In a statement, Womack said “the demise of our relationship was completely my fault.”

Given that they were probably never a couple, why is this news?

    • anonymous

      Fake relationship. Fake break-up.

      • Strepsi

        Fake-up?

brad it is no way your fault — you’re only fault is that you should have picked Emily — you already saw there were problems the day before you chose her and you still chose her. She is as insecure as Ashley.

      • Rack

I think you mean Chantal, not Emily.

  • whatevs

Clearly, she has to go shack up with Bentley now.

  • JPX

How is this news? They have not been together for months. Womack is known to have major anger problems so it makes sense that Maynard would not want him around her young daughter.

    • Sue

Emily said she had a temper as well so its not only him.

  • claudenorth

What?!!! I am stunned!!! I cannot believe it!!! I honestly believed that of all the manufactured relationships, theirs was the one that would last!!! I am heartbroken!!! I no longer believe in true love!!!

    • shel

You should have looked closely on After the Final Rose. The problems were there to see. Emily was not over her lost love. If she really did love Brad, she would have packed up and move to Austin and make her daughter understand. The Emily we saw was a product of editing. Her sweet Southern belle persona became questionable when she said she had a potty mouth and a temper. So who was the real Emily? Honestly he should have picked Chantal who at least was willing to move to Texas.

This is the most shocking breakup since Hugh Hefner and his bimbo du jour from last week.

  • Katie

I’m not surprised by this. I thought chantel and brad were a better couple

    • SC

      I sooooooo agree with you!

      • missz

I have to agree as well.

    • shel

      Agreed!

  • Here & There

I wish them both happiness and good fortune. They seem like truly decent people.

Whoever edits and puilbsehs these articles really knows what they’re doing.

Now “fake rality”has become news. People are so bored and gullible.

  • chris

Emily is a manipulative liar. She showed her true colors at the ATFR. Besides she’s too busy out partying leaving her daughter anywhere she can so she can go have a good time.

    • Sara

I no! She acts all sweet but she didn’t seem over rickis death! Chantel and brad make a way better couple

      • tomm

        You mean ‘I know’

      • SLB

Yeah, cause Chantal seemed so sweet.

    • Kevin

      this isn’t Casey Anthony

      • Liz

don’t talk about her!! I get enough on the news

  • Jason

The Bachelor never makes successful relationships…like ever.

    • tomm

Only two out of the 14some seasons got married. Trista/Ryan and Jason/Molly.

      • Kate

Ali and Roberto are still together

      • Eolra

Honestly though, 3 out of 14 isn’t that bad. I bet my own personal track record is worse; I’ve been on dates with at least 14 guys and I haven’t been married yet. And besides, a relationship that doesn’t end in marriage isn’t an automatic failure. Some of the couples from the show have made it several years before breaking up, they just never married. So what?

  • tomm

Brad is pushing 40, needs to man up and get a woman his age. Young girls want to ‘party’ til they are 35, then suddenly realize biological clock is ticking.

    • Louise

Tell that to the producers who seem to cast girls too young to even understand what love really is. They get so caught up with the fantasy not the reality. No wonder this show has such a bad track record.

  • jim

Who cares? That guy is a creep. He really needs to hook up with the current bschelorette, who is as creepy as he is.

    • Inga

I agree with Jim. Brad loves himself way to much. The current
bachelorette is weird. Who knows? It might work out.

  • S

    I, for one, am shocked.

  • Vijay

I thought he was an idiot for not choosing Chantal. She actually looked like she was in love with him. Not so much for Emily, who always looked fake. Well, more fake than is the standard on this show anyways.

    • Kata

I agree with you. Chantal was ready to commit and was in love with Brad. But he lusted after the beautiful blonde with a sad past. So typical. And she never seemed in it after the ‘competition’ part of the show was over. :-( Good news for Chantal however, she is now engaged to a guy she met right after she came off the show.

Wishing Brad luck… he is a decent guy and in a way I guess he felt his own Karma after how his first season ended. It’s hard to find lasting love… no matter where it is.

  • Melly

At least Brad took responsibility for the breakup and didn’t trash Emily. However, he seems like a confirmed bachelor/ladies man who only has eyes for himself. All you ladies have been forwarned. If you are doing the walk of shame out of his apartment in the morning you deserve the humilitation.

    • Louise

So why are you trashing Brad for taking responsibility?
