Oasis frontman Noel Gallagher marries

Filed under: Music, News and tagged: ,

It’s time to pop out the “Champagne Supernova.” Oasis crooner Noel Gallagher has married his long-time girlfriend Sara MacDonald. According to People, Gallagher, 44, said “I do” to MacDonald this past Saturday at the Lime Wood Hotel in New Forest, England. Watching the newlyweds share their first dance to The Ronettes’ “Be My Baby” was funnyman Russell Brand, who once hosted UK radio show TalkSPORT with Gallagher and reportedly served as best man.

On the regret list were Brand’s wife, Katy Perry, who was busy with an engagement on her California Dreams tour, and Gallagher’s embattled brother, Liam. The brothers famously brawled throughout Oasis’s rise to fame, and their escalating conflicts eventually undid the group. “I’ve not been invited to his wedding,” Liam told the Chicago Sun-Times last Friday before a gig with his new band, Beady Eye.

This is Gallagher’s second marriage. He and his new wife have two sons — 3-year-old Donovan and 8-month-old Sonny — in addition to Gallagher’s 11-year-old daughter, Anais, whom he had with first wife, Meg Matthews.

Noel was not the “frontman”, Liam was. Noel was the lead guitarist and main songwriter.

Half expected the article to say he married himself.

It’s about time he got married to his one and only true love, himself.

Noel wasn’t the frontman of Oasis, Liam was.

Frontman does not always mean lead vocalist. It sometimes refers to the leader of the band, or the spokesman in the interviews. He was most definitely “the boss” in all matters regarding oasis. I think the headline is accurate. You could probably say that they were both frontmen.

Noel Gallagher releasing solo album, High Flying Birds, October 17th

Well we finally have confirmation as to what exactly the other Gallagher brother is up to.

According to MusicRadar.com, on October 17th in the UK, Noel Gallagher will release a self-titled debut album with his band, High Flying Birds, and the tracklisting is down below. But that’s not all! Noel was a very busy lad and decided to record not one but two new albums.

Speaking at a press conference in London, Gallagher announced that his other album, which is already done, was recorded with the cosmically influenced Amorphous Androgynous. That album will be released sometime in 2012 and will be a companion to the first album.

You’ll recall that once upon a time, Noel and his brother, Liam, were once the heartbeat of a band called Oasis before a nasty split in Paris back in 2009. Since then, Liam went on to form Beady Eye with the other members of Oasis while Noel took the solo route. I got a feeling that Noel’s music is going to sound a lot more…what’s the word I’m looking for….better? Yeah, I think that’s it.

Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds tracklisting:
    Everybody’s On The Run
    Dream On
    If I Had A Gun…
The Death Of You And Me
(I Wanna Live In A Dream In My) Record Machine
    AKA…What A Life!
    Soldier Boys And Jesus Freaks
    AKA…Broken Arrow
    (Stranded On) The Wrong Beach
    Stop The Clocks
