Josh Duggar and his wife, Anna, welcomed a baby boy on Wednesday, People reports. The child is the latest addition to America’s most famous large family; Josh is the eldest son of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, the couple who star in TLC’s reality series 19 Kids and Counting along with their enormous brood. The new baby is the second for Josh and Anna; they also have a 20-month-old daughter, MacKynzie. The younger Duggars have not publicly revealed their son’s name, though they did tell People that it will also begin with an “M.” (Similarly, all of Josh’s brothers and sisters have “J” names.)

Actually, we should “knock it”. This family has chosen to put themselves in the public eye. Scrutiny is part of that package. Raising kids is expensive (nealy half a million over 18 years, by recent estimates), and having more than two adds to global over-population. But I suspect the Duggars don’t really care about over-population and are more concerned with popping out more christians. Scary.
It’s not that close in age. She actually miscarried before this one so they would have been really close in age. My kids are 20 months apart. It’s not a big deal.
To have a 20-month-old and a newborn is not that extreme. My sister and I were 17 months apart, and two of my children are about 20 months apart.
Firstly, this is not entertainment news. Just because they have a show, does not make this entertainment. I am sick and tired of hearing about individuals who think they can have a show because of a multiple brood of children.

They don’t have kids just to have kids. Maybe your thinking of the wrong show. Watch Pregnant in Heels on Bravo. Now there is some people to judge. They have kids then want to hire nanny’s to raise them. But no one thinks they are sick or attack their religion.

They have the same right to have kids as your parents did…… I don’t see how them raising decent humanbeings is a bad thing….I agree though that there is to many people…to many people like you who don’t have a heart.
I think you’re just bitter and jealous because you would like to have more (any?) children but you’ve decided to let a selfish society dictate the number of children that is “acceptable” and can’t stand to see someone else follow their hearts and be genuinely happy and productive. They are not hurting anyone, and I would bet the life they live is more frugal and earth conscious that MOST 2.3 kid families in the US.
And they have JUST as much right to have this many children as another family has to have ONE or NONE. Thank GOD that we don’t live in a society where it would truly be the government’s decision on who can have children and how many they can have, or that can force sterilization! Some of the people that post these nasty comments are truly frightening people!

They use religion to justify their choices.

Jim Bob uses every tax loophole he can find. “Mission trips’ and charitable donations they make are tax write offs. Though some celebs have good intentions it keeps them from paying high taxes.
I agree A.roddy…I’m all for ppl being religious and what not, but they are def using it to gain from it…they are southern baptist btw. They can support their kids bc of all the donations and profits they make from the TV show, and the eldest duggar who now has 2 kids will likely do the same, he was working as a used car salesman before and thats not gonna support a family of 20 if thats the direction hes going in . When I first saw this i thought to myself they had to be amish or some medieval type of religion bc who in their right mind would do this?! your 45 yrs old and are bearing you 20th child…i get a child is a blessing i have 3 of my own, but at what point do you ask yourself ” This cant be healthy for myself OR this child right?!” and then at what point to do you either stop having sex or remove your reproductive organs? i mean from a medical stand point its just not right!
I think it’s great too have a loving family. If you don’t like that kind of show, don’t watch it. It’s a lot better then the shows that are on. It’s wholesome no swearing or half naked people.This is what family is all about.I love this show! This is what people need in their life.

WOW like Anne are you some algore global warming fantasy wiz or what??? While I stopped at two kids having more is up to the couple and IF they are footing the bill and NOT the taxpayers. Those kids are respectful, compassionate, kind and responsible, they go on missions to 3rd world countries, are volunteers in their community. I am betting that Josh will stop at these two babies, Anna is NO Michelle. Lots of kids is not for me but who am I to decide when a person should be sterilized, sounds like eugenics to me!

this is a free country and if you think that they don’t have a right or shouldn’t have so many kids then maybe you should go look at the laws cause nothing in there says you cant have 19 kids… and besides that is a very friendly and loving family obviously not like some of you
It may not be against the law, but that doesn’t make it a good idea or a healthy way to raise kids. Not everything is black and white.
