Sweater queen and home-shopping doyenne Jeanne Bice died on Friday at age 71. Bice was known for her Quacker Factory clothing line, which she sold on her QVC show of the same name, usually while wearing her trademark headband. There wasn’t an article of clothing in the world she couldn’t spruce up with a cascade of sequins, beads, fabric Christmas trees, and cartoon ducks. Her personality was often as colorful as her products, which led to her being often featured on E!’s The Soup.
QVC posted a eulogy on its website that reads, in part, “Jeanne chose to love. She loved what she did — creating Quacker Factory clothes, with ‘sparkle and shine’. Clothes that made people Happy. She loved QVC. Everything about it. She loved the people: the executives who ran it, and the production people who worked so hard to make every show perfect. She loved the famous stars who appeared there, and had to pinch herself when others considered her one.”

Jeanne was a delightful person, and an entertainer in her own right. Rest in Peace, dear lady!

I think you’re on the wrong post xin
May her beautiful soul rest in peace. QVC is not going to be the same. She was so positive, funloving and honest. I loved her.
Loved Jeanne so much and just felt horrible when I heard the news. She will be greatly missed. Why do all the good die young? Love you Jeanne.
While I will miss her too, she was hardley “young” like a 9 yr old girl or something
Jeanne was a bright light in our lives – at 71 she was YOUNGER than many 9 yr olds.
S. Chase You sound like a 9 year old now. Wait until you are 70, maybe you will learn something by then.
What a mean thing to say.
She was young in her heart…
S. Chase: no need to be mean: I think anyone with common sense gets the ‘young at heart’ thing – if I were mean too, I’d correct your spelling……
what a stupid ass post by the above….real idiot!
Maybe S. chase should hang out with Betty White, 89, for awhile! And it’s Hardly. And why the reference to a 9 year old??? in comparison to a 71 year old??? Oh boy……
I hope no one like you makes a comment like your’s to any of my children. You have a cold heart.
Oh, Lorry. Do you really mean this?
There’s a new star in heaven and I bet it shines brighter than most.
Condolences to her family and close friends.
I couldn’t have said it more beautifully than you did. She was an inspiration to all. A truly wonderful person.
