I remember when Apple used to complain that Microsoft was taking its best ideas and repackaging them. Now, the shoe is on the other foot.

How so? Apple’s been working on it’s cloud-based music service for a long time.

Because Google and Amazon both came out with their ‘cloud music’ solutions first. And I’m sure iOS will be another Android clone.

…that’s because Apple is the only company that took the time to negotiate distribution deals with the music labels and publishers.
You’re being naive if you think that Amazon (or Google) came up with the idea for a cloud-based service just because they were first to introduce them to the public. All of this information is readily available to anyone who is capable of performing a simple Google search, if you want to educate yourself.
…considering Android was created in response to the success of iOS, I’m not sure how you can claim that iOS is an Android clone. (And if you’re “sure” you know what the next version of iOS is going to be like, I’m sure there are plenty of news outlets you could sell your insider secrets to…)

I wonder how much they will be price-gouging us for this service?!?
I just read where Activision is offering a subscription service for online multiplayer for the upcoming Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3!!!!! It’s supposedly optional, but that’s still ridiculous seeing that you pay $60 for a game and $5-$10 per month for XBox Live!

      How does this apply?

  • ugh

Price gouging seems to be the future of online capablities with entertainment “technology”. That’s how it applies.

iApple’s marketing team just isn’t iTrying anymore. Can’t they at least come up with a more original name?

  • Marc

Seems like Apple is becoming more anad more iPahtetic every time they launch (copy) products… #lame

    • Leo

Which product is it you (erroneously) believe
      Apple is copying?

      • dwd

iOS copying android with rumored widgets for one. 2-iCloud music would be a copy of Amazon. Just calling it like it is.

      • Leo

        See my comment above.
Educate yourself before you attempt to “call it like it is.” Mindless Apple bashing is, well, pointless.

Apple isn’t copying Amazing or Google’s cloud services. Amazon and Google were the first to RELEASE them, but Apple has been long been developing their cloud system, they just weren’t going to release it until they signed the four major record labels. Now they’re going to be several steps ahead of Google and Amazon.

We’ll see in 3 years who did it right, and my money is on Apple. Google and Amazon rushed to the finish, but they’re gonna soon find it harder to overcome Apple’s contracts with the music labels.

And as for Apple copying products… lol
