Lindsay Lohan has returned to Los Angeles Superior Court to determine if her grand felony charge will go to trial. The actress, who arrived at about 10 a.m. PT, has pleaded not guilty to charges that she had stolen a $2,500 necklace from a jewelry store in Venice, Calif., in January. During the hearing today, Superior Court Judge Stephanie Sautner will examine the evidence against Lohan and decide whether or not a trial will be scheduled. Employees of Kamofie & Co., the jewelry store owners, will be present at the hearing to give testimony.

Lohan has already rejected two different plea deals (and, therefore, jail time), maintaining her innocence. Should she go to trial, her legal troubles could affect her roles in two different upcoming films, Gotti: Three Generations (which producers announced she had joined as Kim Gotti after previously telling reporters she was no longer in the running to play Victoria Gotti) and Mob Street. Check back on EW.com for developments regarding Lohan’s hearing.

She continued writing for the show through the rest of its six-year run and also contributed to Ball’s next projects: The Lucy-Desi Comedy Hour, The Lucy Show, Here’s Lucy, and the comedian’s last series, Life With Lucy. Davis and Carroll were twice nominated for Emmy awards for their work on the original Lucy; they also received the Writers Guild of America’s Paddy Chayefsky Laurel Award for achievement in television writing in 1992. “Madelyn was such a class act,” Ball’s daughter Lucie Arnaz told the Times. “She was a very private person, very soft-spoken, genteel, feminine — all those lovely words you associate with great ladies. And yet she had the ability to write this wacky, insane comedy for my mother.
