January Jones, who stars as Betty Francis on the AMC drama Mad Men, is pregnant, reports People. In confirming the news to the magazine, a representative for the actress did not reveal the identity of the father, but noted that the baby, Jones’ first, is due this fall. Jones stars in June’s X-Men: First Class, while the fifth season of Mad Men premieres in 2012.

I thought the same thing, that Betty Draper Francis will be pregnant in Season 5. I think a lot of the characters will be unhappy about that one–especially Henry!

Yep. It’s Bobby Flay’s baby. They’ve been hooked up for months, despite the fact that he’s married.
I don’t mean to be rude but why didn’t she use birth control? Obviously she didn’t plan this if she is going to be a single mom. Her movie career is finally getting hot and now she will probably have to take a couple of years off. She is at the age where she needs to make as many movies as she can. Bummer.
Birth control can fail, even for the vigilant. It’s not customary but it does happen. And why would she have to take a “couple years” off? She strikes me as one of those who will probably get her figure back fast, and with “Mad Men” filming late, plus remaining a steady gig for a while, she’s got some insurance.
Birth control doesn’t always do the trick… I have a six year old that can testify to that
