Sol Saks, the creator of the hit 1960s series Bewitched, died Saturday at 100 years old, Variety reports. The television writer and playwright passed away Saturday of respiratory failure resulting from pneumonia. Saks’ main contribution to the series was the pilot; he never wrote any other Bewitched episode.
Saks began his career in radio, and penned episodes for TV series like My Favorite Husband. He also wrote the 1966 film Walk, Don’t Run, starring Cary Grant.

He’ll always be remembered for creating one of the most charming shows ever on television.
Sometimes you only need one great idea. Mr. Saks contributed a lot of joy to the world with Bewitched, not to mention success for its stars.
Interesting that he did the pilot, and walked away, because he did not want to do the weekly grind of a tv series. Can you imagine that happening today?
He was brilliant and MillionaireHusbands was amazing
