Lindsay Lohan has returned to Los Angeles Superior Court to determine if her grand felony charge will go to trial. The actress, who arrived at about 10 a.m. PT, has pleaded not guilty to charges that she had stolen a $2,500 necklace from a jewelry store in Venice, Calif., in January. During the hearing today, Superior Court Judge Stephanie Sautner will examine the evidence against Lohan and decide whether or not a trial will be scheduled. Employees of Kamofie & Co., the jewelry store owners, will be present at the hearing to give testimony.

Lohan has already rejected two different plea deals (and, therefore, jail time), maintaining her innocence. Should she go to trial, her legal troubles could affect her roles in two different upcoming films, Gotti: Three Generations (which producers announced she had joined as Kim Gotti after previously telling reporters she was no longer in the running to play Victoria Gotti) and Mob Street. Check back on EW.com for developments regarding Lohan’s hearing.

Um, I thought EW already reported a few days ago she was no longer in the running for the Gotti movie?

“Lindsay Lohan will play the daughter-in-law of late mob boss John Gotti — and wife of imprisoned mobster “Junior” Gotti — in the film Gotti: Three Generations, according to a press release from Fiore Films. (A Fiore representative for Gotti had earlier told EW that Lohan was out of the running to play another role in the film: Victoria Gotti, the daughter of Gotti Sr. and sister of Gotti Jr.) As part of the deal, Lohan has also agreed to star in another Fiore film, Mob Street, written by Chazz Palminteri. Lohan joins a cast that includes John Travolta as Gotti Sr. and Joe Pesci as Gotti subordinate Angelo Ruggierio. The film will shoot in the fall, with an expected release date of late 2012.”
As reported by EW on 4/20. Keep up! lol

I know. E.W. flubbed up with that. Indecating E.W. is now on Team Lilo’s hit list of people/orginizations she’s “lied around” with. Hopefully E.W. will stop being her brainless cheerleader now.

As KATE’s stalk. . ., er, sorry, I mean LILO’s fan (a hesitant one, though), I’m so shamelessly proud to declare to the world that I’ve been waitin’ all day for another development! : – D

@Bobby F: Hours after “that” thread (I assume you were talking about Kate Ward’s) had been posted, another EW staff writer has seemingly strategically reported the twist ending — either EW got punk’d by the flick’s PR team, the two beautiful minds of EW team themselves did that on purpose, or it did happen that way — naturally.

Bob, she’s IN, for the time being. But not for the role of that older lady.

@Kate: Lookin’ forward to more to come. Merci!

Lohan was charged with a misdemeanor. Typical.

Comments like this always make me laugh. She was charged with a misdemeanor because the necklace was not valued high enough for it to be a felony. Not because she’s a celebrity. People want Lindsay to be treated the same as everybody else- as long the consequences are bad.

She’s in front of a male judge, and dresses provocatively. Now, she’s in front of a female judge, and dresses modestly. LOL
