Gucci Mane, the 31-year-old rapper whose real name is Radric Davis, was arrested today on misdemeanor battery charges after a woman accused him of shoving her from a moving vehicle in an Atlanta suburb, the Associated Press reports.  In the police report, Diana Graham, 36, alleges that on the morning of Jan. 28, Davis initiated a conversation with her at the South DeKalb Mall and asked if she was interested in getting breakfast. Once she entered his car, he offered her $150 to go to a hotel instead. When she refused, he shoved her out of the Hummer. Graham was treated for soreness and pain at Atlanta Medical Center, while a warrant was issued for Davis’ arrest. Davis, who has had numerous legal issues, served six months in jail for a 2009 probation violation for a 2005 assault.

Okay, Gucci Mane may not be talented, but I’m sick of people pretending that rap music doesn’t take talent. Rap is just as hard, if not harder, to create than any other type of music, and the album sales aren’t lying. While most other genres of music experienced double digit album sale declines, rap cds actually sold more last year than the year before.

Right some lyrics down and thats it. And by hearing some of todays rap lyrics, you dont have to be too bright (very laughable, garabage lyrics…but its rap, what do you expect). You dont have to have a good voice either, cuz theres autotune for that (oh they love using autotune for “talented” rap, pop, and R&B peeps). Then these “artists” usually have someone else come up with the beat.
