Zsa Zsa Gabor was hospitalized with high blood pressure after she learned the sad news that Elizabeth Taylor had died on Wednesday, according to the AP. Her publicist said that the 94-year-old actress was crushed by the news and exclaimed, “Oh, Jane Russell and Liz Taylor — I’m next.”
Gabor has been in poor health for some time, and part of her right leg was amputated in January. But her publicist said, “She’s not going to be the third,” referring to the superstition that celebrity deaths occur in threes.

cregis, I don’t know whether Zsa Zsa considers herself to be on the same level as Taylor and Russell or not, but nobody ever said that the celebrities who die in threes have to be on the same level. That’s never been part of the superstition. I think that most people would agree that Jane Russell wasn’t exactly on the same “level” as Elizabeth Taylor either, for that matter, but that’s possibly not the point of Zsa Zsa’s statement.
Zsa Zsa and her sister have always been drama queens. She couldn’t hold a candle to the talents of Elizabeth Taylor and Jane Russell.

I don’t think anything was inferred when Liz Taylor stated that she thought she was next. That is all it was just a statement. We need to respect those individuals battling life threatening illness and diseases, and not try to analyze their every move and statement. If you can’t show them honor in their time of challenge, I’ve always heard, just be silent.

Showing respect for one celebrity who’s already past is one thing, but insulting and demeaning another who knows she’s at the end of her life is another. I can only hope that karma sees fit to not only have someone spit on your grave, but root for you to jump in while you’re still alive. Pathetic morons.
