Mel Gibson booked and released for battery charge

Filed under: News and tagged:

Mel Gibson did not attend yesterday’s premiere of his new movie, The Beaver, at Austin’s SXSW Film Festival. But he had a good reason. He was in El Segundo, Calif., where he turned himself in to police as a requirement of his pleading no-contest to misdemeanor battery. According to the AP, he was fingerprinted and photographed before being released. Under the plea deal, Gibson must complete 52 weeks of domestic violence counseling and perform 16 hours of community service with the organization Mending Kids International.

Counseling sounds all right, as long as he takes it seriously.

    • Yeah, sure

Yeah, because he took it so seriously the last time he was arrested. This man has had way too many chances given to him. Time to lock his butt up!

Agree. He didn’t learn his lesson last night so can’t imagine this time will be any different.

If his name was Del Ribson, he’d be in jail, period.
