Reps for Seann William Scott (American Pie, Role Models) tell People in a statement that the 34-year-old actor “voluntarily admitted himself for proactive treatment to address health and personal issues.” What those issues entail, and where specifically Scott is being treated, were not disclosed; the statement simply concludes that he “appreciates the support of his many fans at this time.”

@Tom You are a dumb ass and FYI, the Pie F * cker is currently starring in a sitcom on CBS that is mediocre at best but apparently diddling with pastries didn’t totally stall his career. Saving Silverman was his best work either.

All of their careers are in the crappa’. The girls can’t get arrested (literally), and the boys have been in flop after flop. The only successful one was the girl from Buffy but she was already and established character actress before the film was made. Never fear though, they are making yet another Pie movie, so we can have even more pie jokes and Stiffler by this time next year.
Etm…that was my thought exactly. Theres no disputing rehab is used as a PR gimmick and this would be the perfect example…I dont think anyone would have known so why bother releasing a statement unless you wanted people to use his name and get some publicity

I spent an afternoon with him right after the first American Pie came out – and he was one of the most legitmately nice guys I’ve ever met.

Cannot stand Scott as an actor. His choices for roles have been in some of the worst movies in recent history. However, I assume that fr and Josh M are right about him being a legitimately good guy. Whatever is on his back, I hope he finds deliverance from it as well as peace in his life.
