Zsa Zsa Gabor to return home from hospital, will celebrate 94th birthday

After checking into UCLA Ronald Reagan Medical Center earlier this week for possible internal bleeding, Zsa Zsa Gabor will return home in time today to celebrate her 94th birthday, the Los Angeles Times reports. This latest setback is one of many in the past year: In January, Gabor’s right leg was amputated — due to a gangrenous blood clot — and the actress underwent hip replacement surgery last summer.

Lohan's lawyer denies necklace was stolen

Image Credit: John Sciullli/Getty Images Lindsay Lohan’s lawyer, Shawn Chapman Holley, issued a statement to press Saturday, insisting that the actress was innocent of claims that she had stolen a $2,500 necklace: “We vehemently deny these allegations,” the statement read, “and, if charges are filed, we will fight them in court, not in the press.” The same day, Internet reports surfaced that the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office would file felony grand theft charges against the actress on Monday. A spokesperson for the DA’s Office told EW that whatever charges will be filed against Lohan are unknown at this time.

On Feb. 2, police confirmed that Lohan was under investigation for the alleged jewelry theft.

'Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill!' star Tura Satana has died

Actress Tura Satana died yesterday in Reno, Nev., according to the New York Times. Satana appeared in numerous movies and TV shows, including Billy Wilder’s 1963 film Irma la Douce. The colorful and curvaceous actress also worked as an exotic dancer and once turned down a proposal of marriage from Elvis Presley. But it was her role as the sexy, violent Varla in Russ Meyer’s 1965 film Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill! which would ultimately turn her into a cult icon as, over time, the movie acquired an army of diehard fans. John Waters once described the film as ”the best movie ever made, and possibly better than any movie that will ever be made.”

'Superman' producer hospitalized for facial and head injuries

Ilya Salkind, the producer behind the Christopher Reeve Superman films who went missing briefly this week, is in a hospital near Mexico City, recovering from facial and head injuries, the Associated Press reports. It’s not clear how the 63-year-old producer was injured, but he was disoriented upon checking into the hospital. Salkind was visiting the town of Tepoztián when he disappeared.

Jaime Pressly pleads not guilty to DUI charges

Jaime Pressly (My Name is Earl), who was arrested for DUI on Jan. 6 for allegedly driving with a blood-alcohol level nearly three times the legal limit, pleaded not guilty to two misdemeanor charges in a Santa Monica, Calif., courtroom. A hearing was scheduled for March 18.

Bruno Mars in court, plea deal in the works

Singer Bruno Mars went before a Las Vegas judge today and set the stage for a plea deal that could wipe away his felony cocaine possession charge, according to the Associated Press. A Feb. 14 plea date was arranged, at which time the 25-year-old singer is expected to plead guilty as a first-time offender to a charge would be erased from his record if he stayed out of trouble for a year, completed community service and drug counseling, and paid a $2,000 fine. Mars, whose real name is Peter Hernandez, was arrested after a concert in September when he was found to be in possession of cocaine.

Missing 'Superman' producer Ilya Salkind found alive

Ilya Salkind, the producer behind the Christopher Reeve Superman films who was declared missing in Mexico after disappearing Sunday night, has been found alive in the country today, according to a report from NBC Los Angeles. Friend James Buccelli had no further details, but indicated a website created for Salkind’s disappearance would be updated with more information. Salkind had been visiting the town of Tepoztlán, near Mexico City, but was unreachable starting Sunday night. A missing person’s report was filed with the Mexican police force on Monday.

James Marsters gets married
