R.I.P Kenneth Mars. Besides all of the accolades for the movies/shows listed above, I also enjoyed his performance on Malcolm in the Middle. He elevated what could have been a rather standard role, the “fish out of water” running the dude ranch. Classic comedic timing.
No Veronica or Neptune jokes yet? good.
Brilliant Actor…
So many incredible Roles-
“Whats Up Doc”
and prefection on “Malcom in the Middle”.
He’ll be missed…!!!!
great guy he was loved. our true movie people are disappearing and i dont know what is replacing them.
I love him as Professor Hugh Simon in “What’s up Doc?”…. wonderfully pretentious and it still makes me laugh every time I watch it. What a long, full career he had.
He was wonderful! Bon Voyage, Mr. Mars. You were admired and loved.
RIP William W.D. Bud Prize of Fernwood 2Night. He wore his chinadonic device until the end.
He was great on all of the old school sitcoms like “Ghost and Mrs. Muir”…I think his “Fernwood 2night” Character also came up with the realization that “Leisure Suits cause cancer”..which was a timely issue circa the late 70′s.
Uncle Leo? Inspector Kemp? That’s 2….who’s gonna be #3? My bet is on Zha Zha.
We mourn the loss of a true comic genius. His talents were highly underrated but greatly appreciated by those who knew and loved his work. We’ll miss you Ken and no one will follow in your footshteps!
All reports of his death fail to mention he was on the tv show Malcolm in the Middle, towards it’s end.
In the complicated world we live in, it\’s good to find simple soluitnos.
