Last Tango is really a dull film. Yes, pretentious is the best word for it. But coupled with new insights, even pretentious can be interesting. But Tango offered no new insight to redeem whatever else was going on on the screen.
That’s sad. She only made 2 movies really. But it’s too young to die at 58. The Last Tango and The Godfather resurrected Brando’s career back then.
