Zsa Zsa Gabor was rushed to the hospital this morning after she began spitting up blood following her breakfast. Her spokesperson confirms that the 93-year old, who’s struggling in her recovery after the amputation of her right leg, was taken by ambulance to Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center, and that her husband, Prince Frederic von Anhalt, fears she’s suffering from serious internal bleeding.

I wish Zsa Zsa all the best, but really, was it necessary to publicize this bit of medical minutiae? A little bit of privacy and dignity might be a good thing.
Minutiae? Famous, 93, just had her leg amputated, being rushed to the hospital? I’d say that mentioning it is relevant.

I’m thinking I made a poor choice of words in “minutiae”. It is a big deal – especially post surgery. You’re still free to disagree with my opinion (I know, I know, how very magnanimous and pretentious of me, lolololololol), but I just thought it was really crass, to say nothing of unnecessary, to publish this private bit of medical business. It would have been enough to state that Ms. Gabor had been rushed back to hospital with what were thought to be post surgical complications.

MP you and others put it perfectly. I think all of us decent people wish Zsa Zsa the best for the rest of her days but these constant into-hospital out-of-hospital updates are a bit much. Let her have some privacy, or is this her husband trying to keep her in the limelight? I feel there are as many Zsa Zsa updates as there are on Charlie Sheen, but at least his story is somewhat newsworthy whereas hers is more a privacy issue.

Long before there were the Kardashians, Hiltons, (well, Gabor and Hilton do have history), e.g. Nicki and Paris, the Olsen twins, …the “wherever wives of…” etc. there were the Gabor Sisters…class, verve, TRUE style and innovation, beauty, sharp wit and brains. These two sisters Zsa and Ava, (R.I.P.), were all the rage and have these neo-stars beat by light years. Great, gritty, sassy, brainy gals who presented themselves in authentic Hollywood fashion…which now is extinct.

I’m a fan, and I will continue to keep her in my prayers, but this piece violates her privacy and is disrespectful to a legendary actress.

If this was Charlie Sheen or another star of today’s age you would want then to publish every single thing so layoff about her age and the updates. To compare who really cares how many rehab facilities were trying to get Charlie Sheen to go there. He doesn’t want to go so it is a moot point anyway.
Not true. It’s enough to know Charlie is struggling. I wish him the same health, recovery and peace that I wish Ms. Gabor. It is utterly unnecessary and disrespectful to divulge every intimate little detail of the recovery process. Not my business. Not your’s. And not anyone else’s either.
