On Monday, federal prosecutors recommended that Survivor champ Richard Hatch go to jail, the Associated Press reports. The reality star, who was convicted in 2006 of not paying taxes on his winnings from the show, is currently in violation of his supervised release, having not filed amended returns for 2000 and 2001. Hatch served a three-year prison sentence until 2009; he still owes $1.7 million in back taxes. The reality star claims he has not refiled due to a pending appeal with the U.S. Tax Court. Hatch’s lawyer could not be reached for contact.

I think this is all bad Karma for the way things ended in his season. He should have not won, it should have been Kelly, who showed real remorse for her greed.
I think the way he played was just all around indicitive of how he lives his life in general. He was a slimy, smarmy weasel on Survivor and I’ve yet to see any news release regarding Hatch since then that reveals him to be living his life as anything but a cliche of his own smarmy, weasely self.
Forcing the others on that island to look @ his fat ugly butt..he should get life!

Wait, he only won $1 million. They say he owes 1.7…in taxes?? How??? That seems odd.
He made a lot of money after the show as the very first winner. I don’t think he paid taxes on that either.
And then add 10 years of penalties and interest…….
