Bruno Mars, who was arrested Sept. 19 after police allegedly found him with 2.6 grams of cocaine after a concert at Las Vegas’ Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, will take a plea deal. According to the Associated Press, the first-time offender will waive an evidentiary hearing on Feb. 4 and plead guilty. He’ll pay a $2,000 fine, perform 200 hours of community service, and complete drug counseling. If he stays trouble free for a year, no conviction will remain on his record, the AP reports. Mars, who has seven Grammy nominations, will perform at the Feb. 13 ceremony.

Bull. If I got caught with 2.6 grams of cocaine, I’d have gone to prison. Famous people get to do whatever the hell they want.

Not really, cuz while Hendrix and The Doors and Zeppelin were changing music, the Grammies were giving awards to Pat Boone and Tony Orlando.

Once musicians get off the drugs and start sucking (Aerosmith??), THEN the Grammies start coming…

First offenders are often given liberal plea deals. If he messes up again like this, it will be a real problem for him, so I hope he takes it seriously.
Sam is right, almost all counties have a special program for first time drug offenders. The terms very but where I am from getting arrested for anything will make it so the charge stays on your record.
And he was on the Ellen Show not too long ago acting so sweet and innocent and she just loves him. Do all those TV folks do drugs? How do you rave about and act so cozy-cozy with someone and the next thing you know they’re arrested for coke or some such. It would really embarrass me.
Taking drugs doesn’t mean you are a bad person. Everyone can make a mistake.
