Lindsay Lohan's lawyer insists actress was sober during Betty Ford stay

Filed under: News and tagged:

Amidst Internet reports claiming that police believe Lindsay Lohan was under the influence of drugs or alcohol while staying at Betty Ford Center, the actress’ lawyer insists that Lohan was sober during her stint. “I had numerous conversations with Betty Ford counselors and doctors over the course of Lindsay’s treatment there and it was never suggested by anyone that she ever drank or used drugs. Her discharge letter from the facility is totally consistent with that,” Lohan’s lawyer, Shawn Chapman Holley, said in a statement. The Palm Desert Police Department — who kicked off an investigation of Lohan for criminal battery last month after the actress sparred with a former Betty Ford employee — is not addressing the Internet reports, and will only confirm that their investigation found that Lohan might have violated terms of her probation.

Why is it that I don’t believe one word anyone from the Lohan camp-including the attorney?

The doctors and counselors at Betty Ford are professionals and if something went wrong then they would have done something. I’ll believe Team Lohan on this one. The problem is that Lindsay’s screwed up so many times that no one will believe she did what she was supposed to. We expect (and some people-sadly- want) her to screw up.
