Val Kilmer has joined a growing list of actors, such as Nicolas Cage and Wesley Snipes, who have run into trouble with the IRS. According to the AP, the Batman Forever star allegedly owes $498,165 in federal income taxes for 2008. The IRS filed a lien last month in New Mexico, where Kilmer has lived for two decades and owns a 6,000-acre ranch that’s currently on the market for $18.5 million. The actor’s agent could not be reached for comment.

“Batman, Blade, And Would Be Superman Vs The IRS”
Now that’s a movie.
I always comment at the front/top of the comment page because I really want everyone to read my enlightening thoughts on insignificant events. Oh, and my mom looks over this blog and sees how wonderful I am
DOIN’ YOU PROUD, MOMMA!
VAL ! Nooo…
And to think that Val was seriously considering running for governor of New Mexico. He was looking for ways to make a subtantial contribution to his state. Maybe he just got carried away on spending to build his tree mansion to be closer to heaven.
There’s going to be a reality show dedicated to this, isn’t there.
Google in the input: (clshoe.us )you can find many brand names, even more surprising is that he will sell you the unexpected o(∩_∩)o
See what I don’t get is, they make enough money to have that kinda of tax bracket, yet they can’t pay the taxes? Something funny here.
They can’t, or just *don’t* for whatever reason. That’s my puzzlement.
And if they can’t, then they need a new accountant or money manager.
OK so I own my own business and have been scrimping and scraping along in this horrible economy, PAYING MY TAXES and this A..hole who I used to love can’t pay his??? WTF?? These stars who are delinquent should have to do time, Wesley is doing his, come on people, I barely make a living and I am not behind!!!
That explains “Knight Rider”.
SO WHAT! Jennifer Lopez’ husband Marc Antony owes $3million+ and nothing, but nothing has happened to him. What is good for some Mexican is good for a true American! Leave Val Kilmer alone!!
That is racist and you are an idiot!
Marc Anthony and Jennifer Lopez were both born in the United States. They are both of Puerto Rican descent, not Mexican. Puerto Rico has been part of the United States for over 100 years, making everyone who lives there a true American. What they do or do not owe has NOTHING to do with someone’s ethnicity.
Well then I say, go after them too! Every American should pay their taxes. It is the one thing we owe our country as it owes us our freedom. But, that freedom does not include evading your taxes. This is what brought Al Capone down and rightfully so!
hey, if you are going to be a biggot at lease know that mac anthony is puerto rican which for most people who have common sense means he is a U. S. citizen.
Pay your taxes like the rest of us do! Most of us just lose it off the top of our minimal wages. I have no sympathy for these who have plenty of money!
eeeexactly.
F**k the IRS. Stop being slaves people.
MAAT is an outlaw.
What gets me is that I am sure that these are the same stars who were saying how the rich should pay more taxes and were against the estension of the Bush tax cuts.
Most likely than not, they just got some bad advice or an accountant screwed up on their behalf.
These peoples greed never ceases to shock me. Had that been me, I would have sued the IRS for exploitation for going to the press instead of coming to me privately first, in which I would have gladly sold whatever I had to for however cheap I had to in order to pay them back. Obviously that didn’t happen since apparently Val still wont take anything less than 18 mil for his land. I feel like throwing up out of being sick of American greed.
Boo hoo for movie stars. They need to realize they aren’t above it all and have to pay their taxes like every other human being.
Val has clearly taken this Jim Morrison tax plan too far….
