Being gay doesn’t add anything beneficial to societies, militaries or families. All it does is bring hardships and heartaches to those who are touched by it. Societies don’t want gay people in general because being gay is “different”. It doesn’t promote (having) children or a healthy society. Some would say it’s a perversion, due to “crossed” wiring of neurons. Some would say it’s a “disease” that has no cure. But since none of you know exactly “what” makes a person “gay”, then I think we should leave it to the military to determine “how” to “win” wars. Since that is the basic function of the military, anything that gets in the way of “winning” wars must go.

Hmmm…I’ll remember to tell my lesbian sister that she doesn’t add anything “beneficial” to my family this Christmas. I’ll be sure to remind her that she’s only brought “heartache” and “hardship” into my life, and in fact, all the “heartache” and “hardship” in my 32 years on Earth have been her fault.

Thanks for reminding me the “truth” about my sister. Before you speak about the hardships and heartaches of having a loved one be gay, I suggest you get to know someone who is gay. You may be rewarded with a wonderful friend. You sound like you need one.

lets see…did Alexander the Great of michaelangelo or Walt Whitman not add anything great to society.? all gay men…How about art, music, design…still adding nothing…I bet you own something from a gay clothing designer..why buy it..it added nothing to your wardrobe…

    • tim

Um…when you say some would say its a disease…thankfully..none of the “some” you reference are medical experts..whom ALL agree being gay is totally natural and NOT a disease, try reading a medical journal!!!

  • markrite

Hey all you butthead gay symps–try thinking with your brain instead of your genitals, u might find that u 2 have an intellect; does UNIT COHESION mean anything to u? Over 60% of those now serving AND FIGHTING in the military were AGAINST repealing DADT because they KNOW IT AFFECTS THEIR fighting ability, I.E., GAY LOVER’S SPATS, ETC., GET THE PICTURE? Please get your heads OUT of your collective arses, THINK with your brain, & STOP thinking in a GENITALIA matter—GOD BLESS–MARKRITE

    • Mellissa

“u might find that u 2 have an intellect; does UNIT COHESION mean anything to u.” Ahem…try typing with some intellect, and maybe people would take your advice seriosuly.

    • tim

get your Facts “straight” the pentagon report clearly showed 70% in the military in FAVOR of repeal. the ONLY statisic not in favor of repeal in the entire 1900 page report was 58% of combat Marines did not want repeal..however..of those 58%…92% stated they know they served with gay marines..and they had NO PROBLEm with unit cohesion..try reading the report!

  • markrite

And all of the pathetically ludicrous out-of-touch “STARS” are all PURE EMOTION, don;t HAVE much of an intellect & “FEEL” their way through life; prob’ly good for their PERFORMANCES but HELL on their synapses.–GOD BLESS, MARKRITE

I don’t get it. I’m sure gays have been serving in the military for decades. So what’s the big deal about making sure everybody KNOWS you’re gay? Isn’t the point about serving just being a soldier or are you there for some other reason? Grow up!

    • Abby

It’smore of boosting soldier moral. because of DADT, gay/lesbian soldiers couldn’t write home to their significant others, couldn’t reminis (Sorry, I’m not good with spelling) with their fellow soldiers about home, and their husbands/wives/lovers couldn’t receive benefits in the occurence of their death, all because they ould get disshonorably discharged. It’s not so much about letting people know, it’s being able to do the stuff you couldn’t because people did

      • Abby

although, they still can’t collect benefits, I hope that we will reach that point one day

  • CC

I think they should get rid of the military entirely. Straight or gay, no one should die in another stupid war. And so far in the history of humankind, all wars have been stupid.

    • DrBodiddy

So Stopping Hitler, or claiming our independence or destroying the Japanese War Machine, are all stupide reasons…. Hmmm

With all due respect, but nothing’S gonna change so fast. In the article on CNN (linked above in the post) it says QUOTE: Clifford Stanley, a retired Marine and the Under Secretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness, will “immediately proceed” to execute the Pentagon’s plan, Gates said.
The entire process, [Senator Susan] Collins estimates, will take “months, not years” to complete. Until then, Gates said that “the current law and policy will remain in effect.” UNQUOTE

Basically, nothing’s gonna change for quite some time?!?! Especially when the “right” people at the “right” places are going to drag and drag and drag the whole process.

    • tim

wont happen..the President already stated they are NOT going to drag this process out.and the PENTAGON report that they spent millions of dollars on..also suggest a quick and swift implementation process.

  • theOne1983

why make such a big deal about it if they can do the job let em i am a soldier and i could care less

  • Michael

American need to accpted that everyone has freedom of speech

  • DR

Welcome to Rome. LOL! Where the soldiers can act as towel racks for their fellow bunk mates.

  • KATHY

I think gays want this so they know who else in their troop is “gay” and then “hang out”. They are wanting to hook up and know who is “gay”..I understand that they should not kick you out if you are “gay”.That is the only part I would agree with. Any type of misconduct from anyone should be judged as a hole.. So some part of this is so “gays” can be aware of who else shares their common “sexual behavior”..

    • Mellissa

…Right. Gays want to join the Military to get a date. Not to honorably serve our country, but to get a date. Because they couldn’t get a date anywhere else…like a gay bar.

    • tim

I think they joined the military to fight and defend our freedom and liberty..not to find out what other gays are in the military..they can just go to a gay bar to find that out…they are usually filled with military officers.

  • Jackie

Equality??? How about a flat tax for rich and poor alike. Then we can all be equal.

  • Kat

what are you even talking about? I assume you mean sleep in the actual SLEEP sense not the sexual sense. I don’t know, but at the end of the day I’m SLEEPING not trolling like a kid at summer camp. LogicalThinking all human beings have the right not to be discriminated against for who they are. If they assaulted you, then yes, your rights do matter. But there’s a difference btween rights and bigotry.

  • michelle

I think it’s sad that disagreeing about the gay lifestyle makes you homophobic. I love these people saying how “real” christians should act.Being a Christian means being a follower of Jesus and his teachings. We should all love each other, but we should not condone sin. In the bible, homosexuality is a sin, plain and simple. All sin is wrong in God’s eyes-but you are supposed to repent and STOP committing the sin.People are always saying how religous people push their beliefs on others-what about gay people pushing their lifestyle on others. And please don’t compare being gay with being black-gay people have all the rights in the world. they just to push the gay lifestyle on everyone else.

    • Abby

wow, you are one sad person
