Food Network chef gets nine years for murder plot

Juan-Carlos Cruz, the former Food Network chef who made headlines for spearheading a plot to kill his wife, has been sentenced to nine years in prison, People reports. In October, the reality TV personality had pleaded no contest to charges; he had been accused of offering two homeless men $500 to perform the deed. Cruz must also pay $1,870 in restitution.

Cruz was arrested in May after police discovered his plot. He was previously known as the host of Calorie Commando.

I always did hate that guy… now I’m justified in that hatred. And his show sucked.

I actually liked the show, didn’t care for him though.
