People reports that Ann Lopez has filed for divorce from George Lopez after 17 years of marriage. The papers, which cite irreconcilable differences, were filed in Los Angeles Superior Court, two months after the pair announced they were parting ways. Ann is seeking spousal support from the Lopez Tonight host and primary custody of the former couple’s 14-year-old daughter, Mayan.

When I saw them on Larry King right after she gave that kidney, I said to myself, “Someday they will divorce and she’ll wish she still had that kidney.” Maybe she’s a bigger woman than me, and is glad she did it for her kids’ sake, but I think I would have kept my kidney in case my child needed one someday.
Are you saying the marriage should have been over when George had kidney problems? If you plan on being married, then know that such acts happen between loving couples. Think about that. That said though, I would prefer the media celebrate celebrities who have been married a while and are loving it e.g. Steve Harvey, Denzel Washington et c.
