Polish-born actress and horror icon Ingrid Pitt died today at the age of 73, according to the AP. Pitt was a concentration camp survivor who first made her mark in the movies when she was cast alongside Clint Eastwood and Richard Burton in the 1968 actioner Where Eagles Dare. But she will be remembered for her appearances in such horror films as 1970′s The Vampire Lovers and the following year’s The House That Dripped Blood.

She was also in “The Wicker Man”. She will be missed but not forgotten.
I will watch my DVD copy of The Vampire Lovers/Countess Dracula in her honor.
Rest in peace, Countess Dracula.
Really EW? Thats all you have to say about her?
At least they did say something.
