Randy and Evi Quaid did not appear at this morning’s court hearing in Santa Barbara, Calif., apparently remaining in Canada, where they fled after being charged with felony vandalism. According to the AP, Quaid’s attorney, Robert Sanger, told the Superior Court judge that Canadian officials had confiscated Quaid’s passport, making his attendance impossible. The judge did not reschedule the hearing, but left open the arrest warrants for the couple. Quaid has a date in Canadian immigration court on Nov. 23.

I saw bits of an interview with Randy Quaid last weekend. You can pretty much assume that they’re going to be skipping all hearings from here on out unless they get deported. There’s no need to take up bandwidth reporting on every miss.
