In court documents, Mel Gibson admitted to slapping the mother of his daughter, Oksana Grigorieva, but only to snap her out of a fit of hysteria that endangered his 2-month-old, Lucia. Grigorieva had previously contended that Gibson punched her in the face and threatened to kill her during an altercation that led to police to open an investigation. In papers obtained by TMZ, Gibson describes the January 2010 incident that led to the accusations. According to the actor, Grigorieva grabbed their daughter out of her bassinet and threatened to “make her into a retarded brain damaged idiot” if Gibson would not stop yelling at her to leave his house. Gibson claimed that Grigorieva held Lucia between them as their argument escalated, and he feared Lucia might suffer “shaken baby syndrome” as her mother became more hysterical. He denied hitting Grigorieva with a closed fist, insisting his slap was only intended to “bring her back to reality.”

If one of her parents wasn’t rich – would she be in state custody by now? And the sad thing is that they are both adults who you’d like to think should have figured out how to treat people and be able to figure out what makes a relationship good and which ones are toxic.
I’m skeptical of both, but also if you’re afraid of what she’s going to do to the child – you hit her (slap her whatever)? Why not just try to calm down and try to calm her down and convince her to put the child down. I’m thinking hitting her just escalates the situation.

BUT according to the Doctor who gave a statement to the investigators after the alleged punch to the mouth cracked teeth, There was no damage to Lucia or the mother.
Oinky took the baby to the hospital the day after the alleged incident, Doctor with 20 years plus said she saw no signs at all of injury to either baby or mother

I’m on Mel’s side because women will push a guy’s buttons just to see him fly off the handle. It really thrills the women, as if men were just Ken dolls to be manipulated. Women treat men like objects. Basically, the way I see it, the gold digger had no love to begin with so the whole situation just blew up in everyone’s face.
