Members of the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees are striking against The Biggest Loser, an action that has shut down production on the eleventh season of the NBC reality series, the union confirmed today. In a statement, IATSE president Matthew Loeb said: “This is a top-rated prime-time television show, and the crew remains unified. The strike is the result of a unanimous decision by members of the production crew that they get a contract similar to others covering these types of productions, and we are resolute in getting it for them.” NBC referred all calls to Reveille Productions, one of the producers of Biggest Loser; a Reveille spokesperson had no comment. The network — which is currently airing the show’s tenth season — will debut season 11 in January.

Jillian and Bobby will be VERY upset without their regular camera time. Run contestents run!
It’s on NBC, so how can it be top rated?
Thank God. Next to Chuck, this show has to be the 2nd worse show on all of TV.
Thank Obama for this. He LOVES unions.
I’d be hard pressed to find any reason to thank Obama.
